I didn't really like what I saw last night. Sylar now pisses me off and is way too powerful and should be dead already. I really don't like this storyline with everyone being captured but we'll see. Took a twist at the end with the plane crashing on a mysterious island filled with smoke monsters and people who have been on the island before called "the others." Seems like I've seen this before not sure where...

lol carter, because Lost is the only television show allowed to have a plane crash.

I just think heroes is lost in terms of where this show is heading, which is nowhere....

Sorry to double it up post wise, but what did everyone who hasn't turned this show off already think of last nights episode?
I didn't like lol what's new but really.............
Where to start, probably at the horrible acting that took place. Seriously wtf Parkman your lover Daphne just got shot and you show like 5 seconds of emotion by killing those men (which was badass btw I have to admit that) But seriously next scene we see you it's almost like you forgotten she died.
Also, yeah yet again someone dies who wasn't in season 1; I really liked Daphne too.
idk what to think of Sylar anymore. Some times he seems bad ass, others he's adopting kids and teaching them how to kill and play catch. Although I loved the line "I didn't kill you, that's kinda a big thing for me."
I find all the Bennet's and Petrelli's so annoying which sucks because they take up like 75% of the total character list.
This show could've been worse last night, but it could've been better....

I liked it again. It's not a bad start to the volume. I hope Daphene stays dead, i thought she was an awful actress and the whole parkman love thing creeps me out.
I have to disagree with your assessment of Matt not being emotional in the next scene. He was obviously struggling to keep it together, just because he didn't cry doesn't mean he's not suffering. And he said he's not interested in justice, he's interested in "making them pay" which is a complete 180 for a character who once wanted to be a cop.
Powerless Hiro kind of sucked, but Peter only being able to take one power at a time is a good twist on making him not OP (overpowered.) Claire is still annoying as always, as is HRG and his "i'm doing everything to keep you safe".
I do like the rebellion thing though. I'm hoping we start to see some of the future that we saw in season one, where Peter and Hiro and the gang are quote unquote "terrorists" and everyone is against the heroes. I think it'll be a much better plot than what we've seen in Volumes two and three.
I agree with Sylar, i think the show just doesn't know what to do with him. They've got an overpowered villain but no use for him at the moment so they've just got him walking around with Daddy issues. Now he's got a little brother and together they're going to find daddy once and for all. annoying.
I really liked the ending scene with Nathan walking alone down the dark corridor after doing whatever it was that he did to Ali Larter. It really emphasized how alone he is on his path, and just how far the character has fallen.
Yes, it could have been better, but it wasn't as bad as volume 2 and volume 3, so i'm hoping the quality continues to rise.

greatest lines of dialogue in the series thus far.
Annoying kid: "So, you're some kind of serial killer?" Sylar: "I'm not a serial killer" Annoying kid: "You kill people, you have a pattern, you have specific victims..." Sylar: "OKAY technically i'm a serial killer.."

So who does everyone think this Rebel person is?

Peter from the future.
Also, i'm excited to see what they do with Sylar's dad. not because it's interesting, but because of who they've signed to play him.

wow, for the first time i'm excited for a future episode of Heroes. Sylar's storyline has been pretty solid this season, and his father is looking badass. Parkman has been a whining, complaining emo kid and i hope he gets blown up and stays dead. Rebel is incredibly intriguing and i can't wait to find out who he is. The puppet master back is also sweet, i thought he was a great character given not nearly enough screen time.
I didn't like how Claire's mom suddenly became supermom with all the answers. Also, a lot of what happened tonight was pointless when Claire, supermom and aquaman was involved.
However, for the first time since season one, i feel like the show is hitting a stride and telling an interesting story.

I thought the episode was ok, no where near anything as good as season 1. In season 1 we knew what the main plot was. Sylar is killing off heroes and the heroes need to find it in themselves to express their powers and unite as one to kill the bad guy. Season two had that vile that needed to be destroyed. I have no idea what the hell is going on in season 3.
I don't really understand what is going on with the whole capturing the heroes thing. Four episodes or so in and they still only have one person caught. Clearly with the man power they have they should catch more. Also Sylar is pissing me off. His storyline line is so dull and insignificant to the main plot it's ridiculous. Also, he's easily the most wanted person but for some reason they never talk about how to go about catching him.
Clare is off doing her own thing as usual and her exceptionally orange skin this week was so annoying it made me hard to watch any scene with her in it; not like that's a new problem.
One last thing that annoyed me.... When Nathan picked up Peter how did that bald guy not see that Nathan was holding Peter when he flew off into the night sky?
idk, I started watching Chuck just to pass time until heroes but now Chuck has over took Heroes in quality and it's such a downfall in quality after Chuck ends.

I understand where you're coming from with the plot Carter. This volume (cause villains had an easier to see plot) just has Nathan trying to create his own Primatech and complaining that the hunter isn't following his orders every episode.
And with the Sylar wanting to find his dad, it was stupid to me until i learned a) Lionel Luther from smallville is playing him and b) the flashback was an odd badass flashback for the show. I also don't mind the kid that's following him. He provides a bit of humor for the show and it's interesting to see if Sylar will kill him. Both the past two episodes had moments where i thought "oh, now's when the kid gets it" and surprised that Sylar lets him live.

Just watched the first episode of this new volume.....meh.
For once Claire didn't annoy m that much, but Peter and Partman- omg!
Claire: Peter, Nathan and Angela are after us, they are rounding us all up, be careful!!! Peter: Hmmm, I'll go and see my mum and sort this whole mess out.
WTF PETER!?
Partman was equally dumb and now he can paint the future? I'm sorry, what?!!!
It looks like we are in store for a whole lot of HRG/Claire angst again. Yay!
So I guess Peter didn't lose his power, just all the ones he had acquired right? Well that could have been interesting but now he already should have flight (making the whole 'hanging on the airplane' scene redundant, super spider strength, freeze power, bending space and time, invincibility and all the other ones on the plane. Yay!
This episodes saving grace was amazingly Sylar. I was about to go fucking crazy that a man with super hearing and who can paint the future got caught like that but then he kicked ass with telekenesis and elle-ctricity. AWESOME!
edit: A few more things;
The scene with Mohinder and Peter in the cab was rather unrealistic but worked perfectly and it of course mirrored the scene in the pilot episode. Then they had Mohinder get into HRG's car while in the pilot after Peter got out the cab HRG entered.
Matt and Daphne living in Mohinder's apartment just seems dumb to me.
That slow-motion montage at the end of the episode was beyond gay.
Angela- just fucking die already.

Just watched the second episode and laughed my ass off at every Sylar scene. He has been comic gold thus far in these two episodes.
Luke's mum: "I love my son." Sylar: "I don't even need powers to know THAT's a lie."
Luke's mum: "I just want him to be happy." Sylar: "Well he's not."
Daphne dying was fucking annoying. Why do they even bother bringing in new characters when they fucking kill all of them anyway? Daphne was cool with a great power like Knox, Adam, Elle, Bob and Maury. STOP KILLING OFF THE GOOD CHARACTERS!! I agree with Flyers, Matt was so unemotional in that scene. We didn't even get a corny Darth Vader "Noooooooooo!" instead we cut to Nathan doing audio commentary during the scene.
Hope they haven't killed Ali Larter. I'm not a huge fan but this character has potential. I do like the X-Men type team of Peter, Matt, Mohinder, Ando and Hiro working together. It kind of reminds me of the Fox River 8 from PB but with powers.
Dunno who that was speaking to Claire but it would make perfect sense if it was Hanna from waaaay back in season 1. Her power was that she can send e-mails and text messages, surf the net etc just using her head which was sadly not used at all in the show (though she DID appear in the 5 Years Later episode in Season 1 where she was working with Mr. Bennet so it would make sense). I think they killed her in the crappy online comics though which is lame.
Speaking of the future I found it pathetic that Ando knew he wouldn't die because he killed Hiro in the future. If you CAN'T change the future then everything is pointless anyway. Besides we saw both Knox and Daphne in the future and both of them are dead. GAH!

So Nathan went through all the trouble to tell the world about the heroes and exploit them, only to save them from the agency he started? ...um....kk
Oh and glad to see that amazing battle between Sylar and his dad. Clearly worth all the waiting and anticipation. *Sarcasm x100*
However, I did like the end with Sylar in the bald man's house. Other then that, this show makes no sense.

yeah, i was annoyed with the "showdown" with his dad. I hope Lionel Luther decides to take a trip to California and visit Claire
