Trailer: www.24trailer.com/wow, so Tony wasn't dead after all; looks like it will be a good season. They owe us after such a bad season last year...

They dropped the ball with season six.
It should have been set exclusively within a Chinese prison and focused entirely on Jack's escape attempt, with CTU co-ordinating a covert rescue plan from the outside. Set within a 24 hour time frame, I can almost feel the unbearable tension.
By the way, has anyone heard anything about the 24 movie? I heard a couple of years ago they were planning to film it in London.

Oh....my....god....
I knew Tony was going to come back, but not like this. After Henderson jammed that needle into his throat there was no silent clock which usually happens when a main character dies like Edgar, Ryan, Terri and George (though Milo didnt get one which was odd) so I thought Tony might still be alive. However in the next episode it appeared that he was dead and I felt stupid for saving otherwise for a whole week.
Glad to have him back, no matter how much of a stretch it is, but shocked that he is the villain. I thought during Season 5 that he would make a great bad guy, after Michelle's death and the fact he had helped stop multiple threats yet received no respect for it and was even thrown in prison. I wonder though if someone is controlling him and he is just a pawn. If he isn't a pawn then I hope he stays the main bad guy through all 24 episodes as I am bored with the "oh...the bad guy is dead...wait here's the real]/i] mastermind behind it! Oh he's dead too!! No wait here is his boss..." that the show has used since Season 1.
CTU going also is a big change, but I think a good one. They kind of used up all CTU story lines by having it blown up, poisoned and eventually seized. Also the CTU mole storyline is very cliche. I am also glad it's gone because damn that was a dangerous place to work. How many people died there? I will miss CTU's ring-tone though. Hey you think we might actually get to see Division now?
That trailer was really good and I can't wait for it.
What characters would you like to see return? In the trailer it featured Jack (obviously) Tony, Chloe and Bill. I want to see returns from Mandy (as always) Aaron Pierce and Agent Doyle- I don't care if he's blind he was one of the good things from last year. Also they must show us what happened to Charles Logan.

So 24 is back!
AT LAST!
So after seeing the first two episodes thing do look quite good. I am very annoyed at the President's advisor is involved with the terrorists, we've seen that before so many times- Walt Cummings in Season 5 springs to mind.
I quite like the president's husband...gee that sentence sounds strange- the president's husband..... anyway I like him because his voice sounds just like Roy Campbell in Metal Gear Solid. Seriously listen to it and you can just imagine him saying stuff like "You have to stop Metal Gear!" "Foxdie!" and of course the iconic line "I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-kiri Rock. I need scissors! 61!" - So profound that last one.
I'm not sure about the new GBI team, the tech woman seems like she's doing a Chole impression, but I already really like the female agent. 24 hasn't really had a kick-ass female character so it feels fresh. Yes there was Michelle, but she wasn't really a field agent and Mandy is far too sporadic with her appearances.
So anyway let's get to the big issue- Tony. How did you feel they handled his return? I thought it was alright (however I kind of wish he was the MAIN bad guy this year. Tony vs Jack final showdown would be epic...they could save that for Season 9 though). I don't think Tony's a bad guy, he must be undercover or something surely.
All in all it was pretty good.

If you thought the first two episodes were good wait till you watch the next two episodes then we will talk.
I'm guessing the UK is a week behind, which is usually the case...

Wel it is now. We used to be months behind lol. It's only since people started watching stuff online that our TV companies decided they needed to air them soon to keep viewers.
The trouble is now that our TV stations pay shit loads for great ones like PushinG Daisies or Sarah Conner Chronicles only for them to get cancelled meaning wasted money and pissed off people. The reason they used to be so far behind was because they would probably wait to see if a show would be picked up or not. Sadly ABC and NBC producers fuckers have killed the system.
Anyway yeah, can't wait to the next two, or 1, depending on how many Sky show.

Sky are showing hours 3 and 4 back to back on Monday, so we will be a week behind the US. I also think Tony is not really a bad guy, but will pull the rug from under the terrorists and probably pay with his life for real this time. If he was really a terrorist, he would have let them two planes collide, and smile as he heard the burning screams of 800+ innocent passengers. But alas, he saved the day at the last second in true CTU style.
I just hope there is not so much focus on White House politics this season, as honestly I couldn't really give a flying fuck. I just wanna see action and suspense. I already dislike the new President intensely, and hope Tony Todd sends a henchman to plant a bomb under her ass. Or at least pop a cap in it.

The president scenes are usually the worst part of the shows I think.
Season 1- Worked very well here. Mainly because Palmer was tied directly into the plot right from the off.
Season 2- Worked fine here too, but then you had the craptacular Kim Bauer plot that would make anything else look great.
Season 3- Ugh, they tried the whole David/Sherry thing once more and this time it was a bore....ooh that rhymed.
Season 4- Um.....what happened? This really is the most forgettable series. Oh yeah the President's plane was shot down and Logan took office. It was a bit boring.
Season 5- Awesome! This was Logan's year!
Season 6- Remember the plot about David and Wayne's sister? Of course not. Terrible. However midway through it was probably the best thing about this year as I thought Tom Lennox was terrific and the plot to assassinate Wayne was well-handled. However well then got a shit storyline where the new President's assistant is dating a terrorist mole and she's told to spy on the mole.....
.....I could go on but it was awful and worst of all an EXACT rehash of a storyline from Season 1, which again was recycled in another season (5?) this time involving a young girl and a sex trafficker.
I'll give Madame President a fair chance.
I do find it hard to buy that Jack Bauer would be on trial. He should be hailed as a hero by now.

Hey woo, can you give me some odds? I want to bet Karma points that the leak in the FBI is the blonde chick that Sean Hannigan was talking with.

Episode 5 the one where the FBI agent was buried alive. How did you not like it! I thought that episode was awesome! The storyline with the President's husband was very exciting and seeing Jack and Tony force the other President was gripping.
Haha, I dunno about that bet Somar. It just has to be her right? I changed my mind so many times about who the FBI mole could be, but now think it must be her as they made us like everybody else and then she just came out of nowhere.

well, she's only been given like, 10 seconds on the screen. so i think you should give me 100 to 1 odds, and i'll bet 500 points.

30 mins into the episode. the blonde chick was in it again, i think she's gotta be a mole. always someone participating in a love affair is dirty.
Also, how dumb is this chick that's all "oh i love samual!" How does she not know who Dubaku is if he's the right hand man of the dude leading the genocide?

lol, yeah I also loved when he was standing by the news stand watching the presidents speech with so many people by him. It's hard to believe not one person recognized him.
