Im playing Mass Effect, loved the game and story line and combat upgrades, but after a while a lot of the side missions become very samey and hwne you upgrade your weapons enough, everything dies, still a fantastic game but not as good as KOTOR, although rumblings are Mass Effect is just a tool to gauge how a next gen KOTOR would be like, which would be sweet

I have bene playing Toca Race Driver 3 on the PS2. IMO Toca World Touring Cars was the best racing game on the PSone and with the possible exception of the Burnout franchise I think Toca Race Driver 3 is the best racer on the PS2.
The scale of this game is huge. Virtually every type of motor sport is included (bar motorbikes sadly) Touring Cars, F1, Indy Cars, Rally, GT, Trucks, NASCAR, Buggies and many more, including Lawnmowers! And they all handle brilliantly and unlike the GT games which for all their number of cars and licences always fail at the actual racing aspect, the racing in Toca is perfect with clever AI and great damage effects to the cars, with bumpers, spoilers and even wheels being knocked off. It also has a superb two player mode.
*****
I have always been playing James Bond: Everything or Nothing recently. I haven't played the solo missions yet as I have been doing the co-op mode with my brother, but it's a fun game and the best 007 game I've played since a certain N64 game. ***

I'm playing Lost: Via Domus right now. It's probably the worst game ever if you don't watch Lost (but I don't know why you'd be playing the game, if you didn't) but it's kind of interesting if you do.
It's not all that exciting of a game, gameplay wise. You play around with fuse boxes and explore dark caves a lot. And I still have yet to figure out why there are "Previously on Lost..." clips for a video game. Yes...I did indeed do that ten minutes ago. Thanks for the recap.
The graphics are decent but the stand-in voice actors on this game are horrible. I don't think the people that voice Locke and Sawyer have watched Lost in their lives. I actually thought of the characters were portrayed by stand-ins until I hit wikipedia. My first impression of Sun was, "Wow, this stand-in does a wonderful job. She's got Sun's dull, emotionless slow-talk nailed." Turns out Yunjim Kim actually does the voice. A few others like Ben, Desmond, Mr. Friendly, Claire, and Mikhail are also voiced by the real actors from the series.
Bottom line though, rent it or borrow it (no I didn't buy it either) unless you really enjoy running away from smoke monsters for hours at a time. I haven't finished it yet but it's apparently very short and most of the game feels like a mini-game.

Yeah, it's fantastic.
And they even let you test your trigger finger by taking 90 photos during the game.

I haven't payed it, but what I love about the game is that it reveals no secrets at all about the TV series as the series creators didn't want non-game players to feel left out. (What about the non-geeks that don't obsess over the 'Lost Experience' on the Internet?). So the bottom line is that the whole game is rather pointless.

I played it on my brothers 360. I hated it. I love the show but this is a very tacky tie-in, which is pretty patronising in places. I think the programmers must have assumed that the people who are gonna play this don't have the ability to problem solve, and so they dicide to solve them all for you. All you as a player have to do is push the buttons. And how do they assume it's impossible to wade two feet out into the sea to get past a small outcropping of rocks? Stupid, stupid game.
On the other hand, I have been playing this week Resident Evil 4 on PS2. I know it doesn't take a brain surgeon to solve the puzzles presented here, but I love the linear gameplay and the eerie atmos of this game. And just as I thought I was near the end, I'm plunged into a whole new chapter, even bigger than the previous one. Does this game ever end?
I'm currently on an island in this research facility place. It's pretty scary in places, and the castle levels were almost on par with the Tomb Raider series in terms of presentation, but obviously leagues behind in the puzzles department, focusing more on story and tension and horror. A great game, which I hope will end soon, as I wanna start playing Reservoir Dogs, but I am one of those people who play a game to death before starting a new one.

Oh yeah, I finished the Lost game yesterday. The absolute worst ending for a video game ever. Scratch the rent part, just borrow it if you ever want to see how bad it is.

Steala, how's it end? After yours and Metal's reviews I doubt anybody cares about the end being spoiled.
Metal- Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games ever made as far as I am concerned. Best game on the Gamecube, probably best game on the Wii and probably best game on the PS2 too. I too thought the Castle would be the end of the game, I would have been happy if it was. But it keeps on giving more and more. I really can't say anything bad about it, which makes a nice change, and it was such a refreshing idea getting rid of the old camera angle that had been used n every single survival horror game since the first Evil. Simply perfect.
As for Reservoir Dogs....don't bother...the reviews were awful and it has nothing to do with the film. Different characters, none of the films actors provided voices or allowed the game to use their likeness and the main character (Mr. Orange) for some reason has ginger hair...

At the end you get a boat to get off the island and you apparently sail off into the blue sea...
But wait!
There's a close-up of your eyes opening. You wake up. A woman is saying your name (a woman that was confirmed dead because of you during the game). It zooms out further. "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALT!" You're on an island with the wrecked plane. Oh my God. They didn't, did they? They didn't just go DALLAS on my ass?

Damn, Dogs is a no no then. Glad I didn't buy it. I think I'll play Killer 7. After getting the Magnum Killer7 in Res 4, it reminded me I bought Killer 7 the game a couple of years ago, but never got round to playing it.
I swear sometimes I don't pick up a joypad in nearly a year, but when I do I get the fever back all over again. Here's a list of games I have lined up while I'm in one of my rare gaming moods. Recommendations please.
Scarface The Warriors Tomb Raider Legend Tomb Raider Anniversary Urban Reign Black Gun Darkwatch The Godfather The Punisher Manhunt 1 & 2

I own Killer 7 as I love playing rare cult games that nobody else buys such as Ico, Okami and Rez so I bought K7 too. I keep trying to play this game I really do, but it's so, so strange. It's the most bizarre game I have ever played and features a horrible character called Iwazaru, who ruined the game for me and is one of my 10 most annoying characters in videogames. It got great reviews and the graphics are incredible though so it's worth a look, if just because there is nothing else like it out there. Other games I recommend on the PS2 that you might not have played; Ico Shadow of the Colossus Rez Beyond Good & Evil Second Sight Fahrenheit Viewtifull Joe Black (you listed it on your list and it's fantastic) There, that should keep you going for a while, however most of them might be hard to find these days.

Best game on the Gamecube, probably best game on the Wii and probably best game on the PS2 too. Best game on the Cube yes, on the Wii it comes in at 2nd place. As much as I hate Mario, Super Mario Galaxy may be one of the best games I have played in a long long time. As for your list of games Metal, Gun is a great game. I really enjoyed it. Manhunt 1 is okay, I wouldn't bother with 2 at all. It's a real let down compared to the first. Black: Like Woo I am a huge fan of it. Probably one of the best games EA have put together well, ever. Oh and all of the games I recommend on Woo's list. But out of any of them if you are to hunt it down let it be Farenheit. The game is just outstanding.

Well, my 360 is at my house and I'm living on campus for college so I don't really play my 360 too much, i don't even have xbox live anymore. However, I did go to my house over the weekend and started continuing my dynasty for ncaa football 08. In every sports game I've ever played I rarely complete one season let alone two but for some reason I keep playing on and now am in my 3rd season. I have a brand new team, in a brand new conference, and I have a brand new attitude. Anyway I'm enjoying it....
I've totally gone out of the loop for games, I haven't bought a game since the summer (GTA IV) however, I did here gow2 came out and was wondering if anyone played it yet?

I own GoW2 it's pretty sweet. The story in it is amazing, and levels are pretty sweet. My only knock is that the bosses are a tad easy, and online isn't all that fun.
