Blastphemy! Well Lacuna Coil have a new album out, lots of the reviews were like "OMG theyve gone all mainstream" and "This isnt the same LC /emo" *sigh* it sounds to me just like their other albums and it has joined the ranks of Paramore, Skunk Anansie, Tenacious D, Metallica and Bon Jovi (yes... Bon Jovi) in my car

I hope you're missing a "would" in that sentence... otherwise, i'm sure if she's reported missing tomorrow there will be some anonymous tips for police officers to inspect your basement for giant holes, chains and lotion baskets.

It puts the would into the sentence, or it gets the hose again. You twisted freak. Do you have a large collection of impaled moths?

To answer Metal like eight months later, which was the apparent death of this thread - no, no I do not have a collection of impaled moths.
As to what I'm listening to now, its a mix of Darwin Deez - Radar Detector (If you haven't heard of them, I suggest you youtube them if you want a happy song) and also that Wizard of Oz program where they find a new singer or something. The reason for the latter is because I recently moved house and can only pick up a few channels, fun. I even resorted to watching Doctor Who on a saturday now.

Thanks for reviving the thread Koxville. I'm listening to the forthcoming album by Swedish war-metallers Sabaton. It's called Coat Of Arms, and in keeping with the band's theme of war, this album contains great anthems dealing with The Battle Of Britain, Auschwitz, The Warsaw resistance movement, The 82nd Airborne Division, the descendants of the 300 Spartans who fought the Nazi-controlled Italian army during WWII, The Battle Of Midway and the Wehrmacht. They are pure power metal and have a roaring anthemic feel so their songs, with very strong memorable choruses. There are many fan-made videos to their songs available on YouTube, usually cobbled together from old war footage, but there is one in particular for the song Rise Of Evil, put together by a guy called pain1988, which uses clips from a films starring Robert Carlyle as Hitler, and that video, as well as the song, is brilliant. Unfortunately I am unable to post a link due to me making this post on my phone. Check them out though, they are one of my favourite bands.

Recently, my hero and idol Ronnie James Dio died, and I spent all last week listening to songs sung by the great man. 6 days of mourning meant I revisited many great songs by Rainbow, Black Sabbath and his own band DIO. The biggest celebrity death ever for me. Initially I was crushed, but his musical legacy means we were left with a rich catalogue of fine metal tunes with an uplifting atmosphere so all is not lost. The outpouring of respect paid by his peers only consolidated his position of The King Of Metal. My Six days of mourning are over now, and I've been listening to some more extreme metal in the form of black thrashers Dark Fortress. Check em out if you're remotely interested in expanding your metal horizons.
