Montel Jordan's 'This Is How We Do It'
Reminds me of my youth when I used to watch Top of the Pops eveyr friday then go out to a roller disco. Ah, those were the days.
Oh that song just finished while I was typing this and now it's 'Offshore' by Chicane a bit of old skool 90's trance.

Been getting right into a Swedish power metal band called SABATON. They sing all about war and famous battles etc, with song titles such as Rise Of Evil which is about Hitler's rise and the Third Reich, and In The Name Of God which is about the hunt for Osama bin Laden, basically calling him an unjust coward. One of their best is called Back In Control which is all about the Falklands Conflict, and features a great uplifting chorus and the super line of "Orders from the Iron Maiden - Get the islands back!"
Their latest album is a concept album called The Art Of War, based upon the ancient Japanese book of the same name, and equates each chapter with contemporary conflicts. I find them very invigorating and inspiring and especially uplifting whenever I am in a bad mood. I saw the band at a festival in Germany in August, and I'm travelling to London to see them again on Bonfire Night. Should be a blast, pardon the pun.

Gala- Freed From Desire
Wow. Now this is an old school roller-disco dance track! I am sitting in my room in the dark singing along as I type.
"My lover's got no money he's got his....(something) My lover's got no power, he's got his....(what the hell is she saying?) My lover's got no fame he's got his....(trampoline?)... My lovers got no money he's got his.... (oooh 'strong beliefs') (It took me over a decade to work out she is saying. Someone had to tell me in the end)
Freed from desire, mind and senses purified. Freed from desire, mind and senses purified. Freed from desire, mind and senses purified. Freed from desire.... Naa naaa naa naa naa na, na na na na Naa naaa naa naa naa na, na na na na Naa naaa naa naa naa na, na na na na Naa naaa naa naa naa na, na na na na"
F'king Anthem!

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Theme.
I found it on a retro site, it's quite cool. It makes me feel 7 years old again. All I want now is a Megazord for Xmas.

I used to be able to play that on the keyboard.
I have been listening to Kiss 100 all day. They are doing one of their Kisstory days where they play old school dance/RnB/Garage songs all day. It's been incredible.

Josh Wink- A Higher State of Consciousness
I am just finishing writing about the next 10 games on my best PSone games list and was playing one of them again and decided that it would go well with some classic trance music and yep it works very well.
I was listening to Cafe Del Mar by Energy 52 earlier and that has to be one of the best dance songs ever.
Higher State Of Consciousness is fantastic too. It's one of those songs that you probably think you don't know, but if you listened to it you'd be like "aaaah yes. This song is awesome!!!"
Okay while typing that Chicane's 'Saltwater' is now playing, great song.

The soundtrack to Natural Born Killers, its a really interesting mix of artists from Leonard Cohen through L7 to Dr Dre. Produced by Trent Reznor, so theres plenty of NiN in there too My all time favourite film and a cracking soundtrack.

Hero of War by Rise Against. Over and Over again. And then my phone rings and I get to hear it Twice at one time! I just looked it up on You Tube, I think its a really beautiful song. I am now listening to "The Howling" by Within Temptation. I really like this band, a really nice mix of metal and haunting female vocals, this is my favourite song by them and Electra's new theme if we ever get the efed running again
