Okay Armageddon has gone and the road to Wrestlemania begins- starting with my favorite PPV of the year The Royal Rumble.
So far nobody has been confirmed as entrants but that doesn't mean we can't speculate.
It looks like it will be Orton vs Jeff for the Spinning Belt Championship and I think it will be Edge vs Taker and Punk vs Big Vis for the other two world titles.
So who will be in the rumble and who will win?

I'm putting my money on Triple H to win. He'll be in the WM main event after missing the last one.

Well from a rumour I have read the Elimination Chamber match at NWO, which apprently grants the winner the main event at Mania will be between Raw stars meaning that the winner of the rumble might be a SD superstar. Thing is apart from Batty, who on SD could possibily win it? Unless it's won by an ECW guy of course...

An SD superstar? I suppose that could be an ECW guy too. They have a talent exchange thing going on. The only person on SD who I think deserves the rub is MVP. They guy has come along alot this year.
A Raw Elimination chamber, I'm guessing that'll be HBK vs. HHH vs. Y2J vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. Jeff Hardy or Orton (depending who wins at RR, apparently WWE are quite hot on Jeff Hardy atm.) and possibly a returning Bobby Lashley.

I think Randy will still be Spinning Belt Champ until NWO as I don't see Jeff beating him at the Rumble, so I don't think he will be in the potential EC match. I think it will be Orton vs HHH with Hunter taking the title. So I am going for an EC match between HBK, Y2J, Jeff, KK, Umaga (is he Raw still?) and someone else...

Hmm, I don't think WWE will do a title change at NWO to have another triple threat at WM. I think the big possiblity is to have the WWE title match at RR have a screwy finish and Jeff gets given a rematch and then they'll set up a new fued for the champ after NWO. Edit: Just read online that WWE are going in the direction of a Batista vs. Orton match at WM24 and Edge vs. Undertaker, Streak vs. Streak match. Edit 2: just been on WWE.com and they have a RR winners section up. No Chris Beniot on there at all. Last I checked WWE were going to keep him in the record books at least. www.wwe.com/shows/royalrumble/3973952/

Well it seems that the planned EC match at NWO has been confirmed as they have now issued posters for the PPV featuring Jeff Hardy standing in the chamber.
Adverts have actually listed the people in the match. SPOILER:
They are Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga.
Now if the winner of this match gets a world title shot that makes things are very interesting. It means that if the planned HHH vs Batty match is to go ahead then one of them would have to win the world title at either NWO or the Rumble and that the other would have to win the rumble. It also means that Trippler has to be going to SD.
So yeah I think Batista wins the world title at NWO, Triple H wins the Rumble and then moves to Smackdown to take on Batista....
....I just realized that the list I included features both Orton and Jeff Hardy and as they meet at the Rumble for the title I now think that the list is bollocks.

SD Spoilers:
Well Rey Mysterio wins a "beat the clock" challenge and gets a title shot against Edge at the Royal Rumble, which should be a brilliant match imo. It also means that Batista and Taker will be two of the favorites in the Rumble match.
So far this PPV is looking really promosing. Two title matches with great wrestlers- and Orton- in addition to the Rumble match itself. Speaking of the Rumble apprently HHH lost his chance to be in the Rumble., but I don't think that will stick.
So who's planning to watch the Rumble?

I'll order it without a doubt, it's being screened in HD here too, so I'll probably stump up the extra $10 and get it in HD.
Apparently the way they are going with Triple H is to have him face William Regal at Royal Rumble. Rumour sites are full of a McMahon vs. HHH match at Wrestlemania.

Rumour sites are full of a McMahon vs. HHH match at Wrestlemania. AWESOME! Makes me wonder why I gave up watching WWE. Don't think I'll bother with Rumble this year. This will be the fourth PPV in a row that Sky have charged an extra £15 for. It's not a case of me protesting by not watching it (although I can't say I've missed it a great deal), more a question of economics. Since Survivor Series, I would have spent sixty quid on wrestling PPVs if I'd bought them. The money I saved, I spent on a flight to Germany for the Wacken Open Air festival in July. I think I made the right choice. I just don't enjoy watching WWE no more. And I only still watch TNA because it's free, and better than Raw, Smackdown etc. But only slightly. I'll probably watch the next WWE PPV that's free on Sky. Because I don't watch the weekly shows, I reckon I might enjoy it more.

I see what you're saying Metal, thats one thing I never agreed with paying more for WWE PPV's when you already shell out £40? odd quid for Sky as it is. As for PPV's there has only been one PPV between this and Surviour series and that was Armageddon.

Yeah my mistake. I thought there were four. Still, £45 - the flight cost £47. I reckon that's money better spent. For me anyway.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing HHH vs McMahon at Mania, as long as it keeps HHH out of the main event. I have to say since HHH came back from an an injury a few years ago he has hardly been in any main events and with the exception of his title reign a couple of months ago, which only lasted about 1 hour, hasn't won the title. So kudos to Hunter for that. Well this match has now been added to the card; I am also looking forward this match. Not too sure how good the actual match will be (though with Jericho it should be average at worse) but they are both very good on the mic so the feud leading up to it should continue to be good. Also 5 people have won matches to qualify for the rumble; Umaga, Snitsky, Holly, Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore. I hope they finally put Bogeyman into a Rumble this year, it would be so funny seeing everyone leave the ring once he gets there.

Because most of Hunters title reigns have been since he returned from injury in 2002. Because in the space of 3 years, he held the the World Heavyweight Championship 5 times after returning in 2002. I'm weirdly looking forward to JBL vs. Y2J, even if JBL has put on a ton of weight since his last stint in the ring.

JBL is awesome. It's always a pleasure to hear him slurring the people. And he's always pretty solid in the ring too. I loved how small he made Cole feel during his days as Smackdown's color guy. He has the gift of the gab, that's for sure.
Jericho on the other hand, does not seem as spontaneous and off the cuff as he used to. He sounds like he's merely memorized a script, whereas before, he always made me laugh and delivered his lines with what seemed like genius ad-libbery (what a great phrase I just invented). Perhaps it's the writing that's not up to scratch, but Jericho seems a little rusty on the mic these days. And that hair...
