Lol, Germany v England is always a dream match for me. Oh, and the French also use their hands for raising in the air when they surrender at war.

Cool. That means we get the United Kingdom of British England in the next round on Sunday. I'll be on the back garden with my Bratwurst on the bbq and my biers chilling in Das Fridge.

Alright, so we will be facing Ghana in the round of 16. tbh, I'm soo happy we made it this far that anything beyond this will be a great bonus.
Apparently we haven’t won our group since 1930 lol.
Also, Australia really played their hearts out in their last game. Shame they couldn't score more goals/ Germany score more then 1 goal.

Australia needed 2 or 3 more in the end that Serbia goal was the nail in the coffin sadly. Got to love Tim Cahill, he has the best celebration in the world. Always love it when he does it for Everton too. Huuuuuuuuuge victory for the USA that. They now have the perfect draw to the semi finals. It is a disaster for England though. We could have had Uruguay, Ghana and South Korea in our section, we now have Mexico, Argentina and Germany!... oh dear Christ.

This world cup is like WW2. The French surrender early, The Yanks turn up in the last minute and England are left to fight the Germans!

I might be a bit late but Britain is different from the UK.
The UK is "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island" and Britain is just England, Scotland and Wales.
Also I noticed on ITV (I think) they had "Holland vs Japan" - this is also wrong as Holland isn't a country.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the Germany game and I don't think they're anything to be scared of.
Would have preferred Ghana though.....

The people of Northern Ireland are still British, regardless of how vehemently the Unionists might deny it. They have British postcodes, British phone numbers, and British money, as well as falling under British rule. Only when Northern Ireland is reclaimed by the Irish Republic will they cease to be called British. Then the Loyalists will emerge and the troubles will flare up once again.

Had we topped the group we would have been in a nice 'Ghana, Uruguay, South Korea' section... now we have 'Germany, Mexico, Argentina'!!! Oh, crap.
Get past Germany and Argentina and we could likely face Portugal in the semis and Brazil in the final...... how good would it be to settle the scores with all of our arch rivals in one go? Croatia>Germany>Argentina>Portugal>Brazil!! Awesome.
Amazing to think now that Uruguay, USA, South Korea or Ghana will make the last four. Once in the semis it comes down to just one game and who knows, perhaps they could even reach the final...
Good to see one African team make it too I guess. We were torn in the pub as we wanted Ghana to get a goal back so we would face them, but if they couldn't do it we were cheering on Australia to go through.

So Uruguay beat South Korea to reach the last eight, leaving Japan as the sole Asian country left while the only African team Ghana beat USA, making Mexico the sole flag bearers for North America.
Both were very good games, especially the Uruguay game. What a goal by Suarez and I loved the celebration too! I expected more from the USA in the end, but Ghana controlled the game very well. Can't believe that Ghana or Uruguay will make the last four now. Who would have predicted that?

That's the luck of the draw. It could have worked out so very different, but somehow all the lesser fancied sides have ended up in the same half of the draw. It's all irrelevant though, as Germany will beat England today and go on to lift the cup for a fourth time.

And Sepp Blatter will still claim there is no need for hawkeye technology despite the today's two games proving otherwise. The cunt.

Why does that fat old prick keep getting elected? Nobody's even stood against him for the last 8 years. Fucking totalitarian knob head. He's so out of touch with the modern game. Somebody should usurp him sharpish. Beckenbauer would win by a landslide if he was allowed to oppose him.

Lol, you stopped watching just because they went out? Love that world cup theme tune Flyers! The ITV "Sing sing Africa" one is excellent too.
Still can't believe that Lampard goal that wasn't and the Tevez goal that was.... disgraceful.
I think Uruguay and Argentina look very good for the semi finals now and the Dutch look alright too. Thus far Brazil haven't really shone and I don't think they will tonight either, but they should still beat out Chile who have so many suspensions, partly due to that awful ref in the Switzerland game.
