So One Night Stand is bad as sex is evil so Extreme Rules it is now. And after looking at the card (SD spoilers may follow....) you can understand why Judgement Day was gimmick match free now.
Card:
- Samoan Strap Match: Umaga vs. CM Punk - Submission Match: The Big Show vs. John Cena - No Holds Barred IC Title Match: Rey Mysterio © vs. Chris Jericho - World Title Ladder Match: Edge © vs. Jeff Hardy - Steel Cage WWE Title Match: Randy Orton © vs. Batista
Okay Umaga vs Punk again is cool with me. Edge and Jeff Hardy should find it impossible to have a bad match with a ladder in it and hopefully a cage can save this Batty/Orton feud. Rey vs Y2J in a No Holds Barred matchis odd, but could be great.
But Cena vs Show in a submission match? What, Bearhug vs STFU?

To me this makes no sense, the PPV name is Extreme Rules so surely every match should be contested under those stipulations? A bit like Lockdown.
Still, a Samoan Strap match? I'm going to throw out a guess here but I think they've just added an extra word to "Strap Match" and ran with it. Either way should be a decent win, hoping Punk wins this here. It'd make sense for him to otherwise their "future main eventer" who also holds a MITB loses twice in a row on PPV.
Cena and Show in a Submission Match makes no sense to me, but this will probably be another odd Cena will over come. Same with Batista and Orton, it'll be a pretty bland match and the stipulation wont help either.
Edge vs. Jeff in a ladder match is going to be shit hot. I'm also guessing this means Jeff has signed a contract extension as his current runs out on the 31st of this month. Either way, no matter who wins this match we're all going to be winners.
Rey vs. Jericho in a no holds barred makes no sense, the PPV states no DQ's or count outs so this is pretty much a singles match on this PPV. Wont all other matches cross a line too? I guess WWE think we are dumb in this case. This is still going to be a good match though, Jericho and Rey had one of the better matches at JD.
Woo you forgot to mention one match: Christian vs. Dreamer for the ECW Title. The Stipulation has yet to be announced, but I'm guessing Dreamer will win here, just for old times sakes.

Maybe wwe is saying that the rules to all the matches will be EXTREME!
Not just a plain old cage match, but an EXTREME!~~~~~~ Cage Match.
Anyway, i'm usually a fan of stipulations in a ppv but these ppv's are extremely loud, even for me.
I understand wwe is trying to do something new, but coming from someone who owns the first two events from this ppv, is doesn't work. It's like watching a movie that just had action and no plot what so ever.
I mean why would CM Punk agree to a Samoan Strap match? Clearly the advantage goes to Umaga cause he's somoa.
That was a joke....
Anyway, I just want to see the ladder match and the rest of this ppv will just be background noise...

Knox Punk has already lost two PPV matches in a row. This would be the third.
I think the PPV means that every matches has different stipulations. Extremely different stipulations.
The WWE are trying to theme all their PPV's which I like. Rumble- Rumble match, NWO- Elimination match, Mania- MitB, Backlash- hmmm....... JD- Singles matches, Extreme- Every match has a stipulation, Unforgiven- Scramble matches, SSeries- SSeries matches etc.
They have also sent out e-mails to their WWE Universe members asking for names for a submission based PPV.
Come on Tommy, you can do it!

Yeah I got an Email asking about the submission PPV. The choices were crap, I think they were like Submission Special, Submission Sunday, Breaking Point and something else. I voted Breaking Point.
Punk lost to Kane, I just remembered that. Kinda pointless how they're wasting him at the moment. I dont get it, but then most of WWE makes no sense.
I'll watch Extreme Rules, purely because it's on Sky Sports. Otherwise I'd not pay for it.

I don't think he's being jobbed at all. Losing to Kane was dumb as Kane hasn't done anything since but Umaga needs the victories much much more right now. Punk is molten hot as it is and beat Y2J on Superstars this week.
Speaking of Superstars Christian vs Dreamer was this week and Swagger made the match a no contest so I guess we'll get a triple threat at the PPV?

Probably, I'm guessing that's why it hasn't been officially announced.
As for Umaga, they need to have him wrestle before Extreme Rules. I have a bit of trouble believing that someone who hasn't wrestled in 6 months could win like that. Savage or not. Oh and he spoke English on Smackdown this week, kinda takes the mystery away from him now.

Why wouldn't he be able to win matches? Every wrestler that returns from an injury wins their return match.

I'm just saying it would of been better if they had built him up to do a few squash matches first.

They kinda did, but then he went on the shelf for a month again. I think Umaga is established enough for the fans to buy into him beating anyone at this point.

This PPV was amazing.
The opening 4 way was great.
Y2J vs Rey was MOTN and a MOTYC. Y2J was as quick as a ninja to take off Rey's mask during that 619 and take the belt.
The strap match was hmmmm.
The Hog Pen one was crap. UTTER crap.
ECW title was good. DREAMER WON, DREAMER WON!!!
The cage match was very, very short and saw the injured Batty go over, wtf?!
Then Cena vs Show..... my god this was long and Cena won- boooooooooooooo!
The main event was good. I loved the way they played up the famous spots between the two such as the move during 2007's MITB and the famous spear at TLC 2. And it was great to see Jeff win the belt.
BUT THEN!!! C M fucking PUNK! Punk comes out- GO TO SLEEP- 1, 2, nooooo! Jeff with the inside cradle- 1, 2, nooooooo! GO TO SLEEP- 1, 2, 3!!! PUNK IS CHAMP!
No THAT SHOULD be your Mania main event folks. Punk will no doubt turn heel after that and we can see that with his straight edge gimmick he is better than drug taking Jeff. Plus the way Jeff won the belt he shouldn't get a rematch, so Punk can be an ass to him.
Jeff wins the rumble and faces Punk at Mania 26- BOOK IT!

It was an absolutely amazing PPV. Yet again WWE delivers. The product is shit hot.
Punk becoming champ made my night, I really wasn't expecting it at all. I was reading on PWTorch yesterday that alot of people are pissed with how Punk won against a face, but I look at it as a possible Punk heel turn. PWTorch feedback aswell said an astonishing 72% of people were sick of the MITB Briefcase. Wtf? Also alot of the comments ended with TNA ALLS TEH WAYZ!!! I guess people need to stop fanboying it and just enjoy two very good products.
Smackdown is going to be one interesting show this Friday.

I think Edge is turning face too, at least that's the feeling I got when he dumped Vickie.
It does make sense though if now Jeff and Edge form an uneasy alliance against Punk, who for the last two years has robbed them both of the title for the last two years. My mate who I watched this PPV with was really annoyed that Punk won- which is exactly the point. You are MEANT to be pissed off with Punk. Basically everyone on PWT just became marks, which is a good thing imo.
I want to know how long they will keep the rosters as the are atm because Raw have stunk up the last two PPV's and the product is terrible.

Lol, Edge didn't just dump Vickie, he shit all over her. It was one of the most fucking brilliant putdowns I ever saw. I actually felt a bit sorry for her for a nanosecond, before marking like hell for the Edgester.

What he did on Raw was amazing. I'm glad to have Guerrero off of TV tbh, hopefully it'll mean Chavo will be used properly not as a wheelchair pusher.
