So Judgement Day has kind of snuck up on us and it will be this weekend. I have to say this looks like another great, great card.
WWE Title Match: Randy Orton © vs. Batista World Title Match: Edge © vs. Jeff Hardy ECW Title Match: Christian © vs. Jack Swagger WWE IC Title Match: Rey Mysterio © vs. Chris Jericho The Big Show vs. John Cena Umaga vs. CM Punk
Okay Batista vs Orton should be crap, I'll give you that one.
Edge vs Jeff should be fun, I liked their Rumble match and if Jeff is motivated this should be good.
Christian vs Swagga III! Will Swagger take the belt back or will Cage retain? Ah who cares, this will be great.
Y2J vs Rey..... okay Y2J should be nowhere near this belt and neither should Rey really as they are too big for it but this should be fantastic. Have these two had a big feud before?
Show vs Cena. Hmmm, on paper this doesn't look great, but Cena works very well against larger guys so this may be the surprise of the night.
Umaga vs. CM Punk. CM Punk vs a large Samoan - wonder where they go this idea from? Umaga has been compared to Joe for his entire 2nd run in the WWE and Punk's matches with Joe in ROH have been legendary so if this is half as good it will be worth watching.

This ppv looks ok, but way too many basic one on one matches.....
I was hoping Y2J would win last Friday and then Rey would come out and complain leading to a fatal four way match at the ppv....

Show vs Cena. Hmmm, on paper this doesn't look great, but Cena works very well against larger guys so this may be the surprise of the night. This will only be great if Big Slow chucks Cena through a REAL 7000 watt spot. This show will cost me extra money, so I'm not buying it. I didn't mind paying extra for WrestleMania... ...scratch that - I DID mind, but I paid it because I wanted to see it and was left with a choice of that or three-frames-per-second blocky net streaming on a 17" monitor. So I paid it. But not for these incidental shows like Judg(e)ment Day. Oh Woo, I think Rey and Jericho had a feud when they were in WCW years ago.

Just added to the card- John Morrison vs. Shelton Benjamin.
This PPV looks amazing.

What's with Morrison turning babyface? I saw a match on Smackdown where he tagged with Punk and was so over it was painful. Looks like there's a future (real) world champion in there after all. And your boys TWGTT looked good again Woo. I'm glad they are back.
I caught Jim (D)ross saying the name of Morrison's split-legged corkscrew moonsault finisher, but couldn't understand his palsy-speak. Split-legged corkscrew moonsault is a bit of a bloody mouthful.
Speaking of tag teams, I caught ECW this week and it seems they are putting together another Hart Foundation, after Little Bulldog Harry rushed to intrude on Tyson Kidd's match and the pair celebrated in the ring. Could tag team wrestling be back on the agenda at Stamford? Maybe Bubba Ray's swipe of a few weeks back knocked some sense into the "creative" knobheads at Titan Towers.
Or probably not.

I've liked WWE over the last few weeks. While Raw tends to be more of an entertainment show, ECW and Smackdown have been jam packed full of good matches. On SD they even had a main event PPV calibre match this week between Jericho and Edge. That being said, I just dont get the CM Punk vs. Umaga thing. From what I understand it's to put Punk further up the card and make him look like a top superstar, but at the same time vs. Umaga? He hasn't been around for months and then he appears and suddenly attacks Punk with no explanation at all? Umaga hasn't even wrestled recently on Smackdown so I dont get what is going on there, there's been fuck all build up.
Morrison is looking good, I think they should take the time with the build up though, maybe have him face Jericho at summerslam for the IC belt and then take it from there. None the less the fued he's god with Sehlton atm should be enough to keep our mouths watering. Smackdown is definately they better show lately.
As for ECW this week, I watched the TJ Wilson vs. Finlay match and then pretty much skipped everything else. DH Smith is looking a hell of a lot more impressive this time round and I'm thinking that if he ended up in Legacy he probably would of got lost on Raw. At least on ECW he can have a chance to show us all what he can do.
Like you Metal I've noticed that WWE has had alot more tag wrestling on thier shows. Is it coming back? Doubt it. The belts are on Raw now where there are only two viable teams on the show. Legacy and the Current Holders The Colons.
Still all this being said, Judgement Day is a stacked card but I'm not forking out for a WWE PPV so soon afer the disappointing Wrestlemania, I'll download it in the morning and then watch it at somepoint tomorrow.

JR said that the tag team champions can be on all three, make that four, shows a while back. I did find Bubba's swipe at the WWE tag team division this week to be very silly. He was sick of wrestling the same old teams? They've fought Beer Money and only for months now!
As for the WWE tag teams you now have;
The Colons The Legacy TWGTT- fuck yes! The New Hart Foundation- Hopefully this will give Nattie some more TV time. & Cryme Time
It's a shame that the greatness that was Morrison & Miz had to split up and that Miz will no longer be allowed in The Palace of Wisdom, but this week on Raw THE Brian Kendrick said he was going to find a tag partner and that it would be THE tag team partner. THE Kendrick & THE Miz? That would be so awesome.

THE Kendrick & THE Miz? That would be so awesome. I'd LOL, I really would, but the daft thing is you really mean that, Woo. It's not very often I want John Cena to kick the shit out of somebody, but last week on Raw... ...but then again I always want THE Warlord to return, so who the hell am I to talk?

I guess i'm the only one to find it weird that the entire card in this ppv is all one on one single matches. This has to be a first, right?

I just finished watching Judgment Day and the Raw that followed. 5 hours of solid wrestling, I'm kinda burnt out.
Anyway, JD was a good PPV overall. Matches of the night imo were Morrison vs. Benjamin and the Jericho vs. Mysterio match. I wont ruin any results for anyone that hasn't seen it yet. But I'm glad that I didn't pay the £15 Sky wanted for this PPV because it was just your average non big WWE PPV. It'd make more sense for WWE to just charge for the big 4 and then show the others on Sky Sports seeming as I would never pay for a ppv that wasn't one of the big four.

Metal- I find it funny how the only place that seems to hate Miz this forum.
Flyers- Yep, I can't think of a single other PPV with just singles matches. Maybe The Wrestling Classic (the PPV after Mania I)?
The reports from this PPV I have read have said that most of the matches were pretty good except the three main events- Orton/Batista, Cena/Show, Edge/Jeff which seems to be standard practice with WWE PPV's with the undercard being better.
I read that Orton slapped a ref to get a DQ? Gee, Orton is going back to that... my god he sucks as a champion.
