Ok so wwe Backlash will be taken place tomorrow night and was wondering if anyone was thinking of ordering or watching it?
I think this ppv will be ok but not great.
After so much time in between no way out and Mania it seems like this ppv is kinda rushed.
They only have 6 matches and wwe is putting Santina on Khali Kiss Cam on their card.
As for the actual matches…..
World Heavyweight Champion John Cena vs. Edge (Last Man Standing Match)
This could be good. Edge and Cena always seem to work well together but they have fought so many times. I think the last man standing stipulation could make this match good if handled correctly.
ECW Champion Jack Swagger vs. Christian
As my over sized sig states, I really hope Christian wins. However, my hatred for Swagger is decreasing every time I see him and I’m just at the turning point to liking him. However, it’s time for him to drop the belt. At 26, I don’t think he should be the world champ, Even if it’s only the ecw it’s still a main title for wwe. I think given the right time this match should be really good.
WWE Champion Triple H, Batista & Shane McMahon vs. Randy Orton & The Legacy
The build up for this match is good and I’m glad to see Batista back. The man is always getting hurt which is a shame but he is 40 so yeah. This match should be ok.
Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy ("I Quit" Match)
Now this could be great. Once again given the right time they could steal the show here.
Chris Jericho vs. WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat
If Steamboat can bring to the table what he brought to Mania then this should be a classic now that it is one on one.
CM Punk vs. Kane
Ugh, I saw the match they had on raw and tbh don’t think these two work well with eachother.
As I break down the card, there are a lot of quality matches on it. I don’t like how there is only one non one on one match on the entire card but each one bring a little something different to the table which makes it ok.
I think this ppv will actually be pretty good but it seems like they had no time to really build up any matches.

I think this PPV could be very, very good- but then again so should have Wrestlemania.
CM Punk vs Kane (is it for the MitB briefcase?) could be terrible. They botched the end of their Raw match, were told to redo the end (this Raw wasn't live on account of it being in England) and they botched it again.
Cena vs Edge could be good, but I have never seen a Last Man Standing match I really liked. I prefer the Texas Death match stipulation as you can have some drama with the pinfalls.
Matt vs Jeff should be brutal. Hopefully Matt won't be too hurt by this loss..... surely there's no way he can win here right?
Christian vs Swagger could be great. Not sure how they can really top their ECW match but it should be fun watching them try. Does Christian go over here? I don't want him too actually, I want Swagger to hold the belt for a while longer.
The 6 person tag match....meh. I smell a turn coming here. Either A) Batista turns on HHH and Orton wins the belt or B) Orton pins Batista to win the belt and on Raw HHH then turn on Batty for losing him the belt. Either way the Age of Orton resumes again!
Y2J vs Steamboat. Please, plllllllllease let this match be good. I said a weeks ago that this should have been booked for Mania after seeing the awesome promo between this too. Hopefully it's at least a little bit good.
Looking forwards to watching this PPV online.

It's on Sky Sports so I'll be watching this! CM Punk vs. Kane will be awful, I actually want to see a decent CM Punk/Edge feud. That'd be awesome.
Jericho/ Steamboat should be good, Steamboat can still go and I think Jericho seems to be on the top of his game at the moment. I'm putting this match down as the one that steals the show. As for Jeff/Matt I've read on PWI that Jeff is refusing to sign a contract extension and his expires in 3 months time so they are burying him incase he leaves. My money is on Matt here. Clean sweep for all three matches for matt. Christian will win ECW Title, nuff said about that match.
Now down to the championship matches. I think Edge will take the LMS match in order to take the WHC to Smackdown. Then if I get my wish, Punk will come out and cash in his MITB Briefcase to take a page out of Edge's book.
I'm also going to predict that Legacy win the 3 on 3 match and Orton becomes champion. Why? Because they've teased that Batty and Shane cannot get on and I think they will implode in this match, leaving Triple H to get a brutal (but well deserved) beatdown. That'll lead to HHH vs. Orton at Judgement Day and some sort of stipulation match between Batty and Shane. Also I'm hoping after this PPV Dibiase and Rhodes will win the Tag Titles.

Why is Jeff refusing to resign?

So what did everyone think of this ppv?
I did not see it, but from what I read on wwe.com and the photos they had of the event Backlash seemed really good.
I'm glad Christian won the title. Even though I thought Swagger was a good champion, I'd much rather see the belt on Christian.
Woo and Knoxville were both right and Orton won the gold. This didn't really seem like that good of a match.
Edge Vs Cena looked ok but it was the ending that was great. The choke slam through the spotlight looked really cool by the photos I saw. However, wwe went a big overboard with the explosion but none the less what a cool move.
So all three of the top titles changed hands in what seemed like a decent ppv.
I wish wwe didn't charge $40 for ppvs which is a huge ripoff imo....

I was right also about Orton winning. Except you'll have to take my word for it as my hard drive decided to shake another fucking seven last week, so no posting for me...

Why is Jeff refusing to resign? He's apparently burnt out and wants to take some time off in order to re-fuel.

So according to all reports this PPV was great.
Christian vs Swagger seems to be the MOTN to most people, I have even heard it reffered to as a MOTYC.
Rated RKO also won both world belts, which were good choices. The best bit I read were the "hey hey hey, goodbye!" chants to HHH when he was strecthered off lmao.
This card is what Mania SHOULD have been really.

Swagger vs. Christian was a good match, not MOTY worthy though.
Jeff vs. Matt was a real cop out, I was quite pissed with how it went down. HHH is apparently off until Summerslam now, when he'll return to get his revenge on Orton.... fun. The WWE Title match was awesome, I really enjoyed it. Surprisingly CM Punk vs. Kane wasn't bad either. I opted out of the WHC match as I dont enjoy Edge (I'm getting tired of his character) or Cena. I watched it on x12 on Sky+
On a different note, I read that spoilers for this weeks Smackdown and ECW. Both seem great and SD! apparently benefits from no HHH. Nearly and hour and a half of solid wrestling.

I opted out of the WHC match as I dont enjoy Edge (I'm getting tired of his character) or Cena. I watched it on x12 on Sky+ Har har! I did that for the not-very-highly-anticipated WWE title match, only watching at normal speed when Dave looked like nailing Little Ted with the chair, so I caught the pinfall. Sweet result, although I like HHH.

Didn't orton get punted in the head at mania? Why is orton the only one that doesn't get hurt from the punt? I guess cause it's his move he is immune to it....
