Okay over the last few days I managed to watch the whole season 3 at last. It was pretty damn good! I'm not sure if I liked it more or less than Season 2 yet, but I did prefer it to Season 1.
I did feel that The Skinner storyline was rather underdeveloped. He was killing people that were knew about Freebo, just to get his money back? That seemed a bit extreme, though Dexter did say that he just wanted an excuse to kill. The Internal Affairs investigation into Quinn was rather unneeded and didn't really add much to the story at all either.
Also what happened to Elle Wolfe's ring that Miguel took when he killed her and Dexter now has? Did Dexter plant it in Miguel's house in the end to solve her murder? I don't think the police ever solved her murder as it wasn't really mentioned in the last episode. Also where is Miguel's shirt with Freebo's blood on?
I really did enjoy the Miguel Prado storyline that was very well written. So now three people close to Dexter have learnt his secret in the last three seasons. His brother, his lover and his best friend. All of whom Dexter managed to kill.
I wonder what will happen if Debra works out her Dad was having an affair with Dexter's Mum and then finds out that the Ice Truck Killer is Dexter's brother and even Dex's secret. We know Dexter won't kill an innocent person even if they know he's a murderer, like Doakes, so what would be do if Deb found out? What would Deb do if she finds out? It will be interesting to know.
