So I woke up about two hours ago and decided to play some Mirrors Edge on my PS3.
Once I turned on the system it told me I needed an update to the software.
Now I've done this before, usually it take 15-20 minutes. But this morning, two hours in and the bastard is only at 18%!!
I'm pissed off and and considering launching this ting out the window.

lol. The best thing is that you never notice any differences when the update is complete.

lol. The best thing is that you never notice any differences when the update is complete. I wish, I've updated and it now wont read any game. I've tried Mirrors Edge, Guitar Hero World Tour, Little Big Planet and Pure. Not one them gets past the initial PS3 screen. Not one happy gamer here.

Oh glorious updates. that reminds me of how microsoft releases updates and suddenly a whole bunch of systems start dying.

lol. You tried turning it off and on again? It turns itself off when it updates. Weird Machine. Anyway, rung Sony apparently they've had alot of calls like this. Suggested I take it back to the retailer and not update my new system. Fun.

So if my console wants to update I should just say no? Might be best. It's pissed me off. I've spent half an hour so far putting all my game saves on a USB stick. Best thing is, I gotta lug this thing to work and then take it to the store in my lunch break. Clearly my PS3 takes priority over my medical career.
