From the makers of the excellent Fahrenheit (one of Knox's favourite games!) comes this PS3 exclusive.
It looks like it's going to be another game where you have to solve a series of murders- only this time you're not the one who created them like in Fahrenheit. There isn't much known about the game, but it's supposed to raise the bar again for cinematic presentation and the people in the game look very lifelike indeed.
I am sooo going to buy this game! If it's half as good as Fahrenheit (known in the US as something like 'The Indigo Prophecy...I can't remember the exact name!) then it will be a must-buy. The fact it's Sony exclusive just sweetens the deal.
Plus it's got Danny Trejo in it!!!

Danny Trejo=legend. He was in Vice City, and stole every scene he starred in.

Who was he in that again?
Was he Diaz the guy you steal the mansion from?
I'd argue in favour of Danny Dyer myself being the hidden gem in that game.
Btw I screwed up. The PS mag I read had a picture of Trejo and then a small caption saying "one of the characters was based on him." boo!

Lol, I forgot Dyer was in that. He plays the manager of that metal band don't he? Diaz was played by Luis Guzman, veteran Puerto Rican actor currently starring in the very weird Twin Peaks-esque John From Cincinnati. You may also remember him from the very excellent Boogie Nights.
Danny Trejo was Umberto Robina, the Cuban gangster whose dad owns that little cafe.
Also, I forgot Bill Fichtner was in it too, as the seedy lawyer you meet right at the beginning, and ends up dropping you in heaps of shit throughout the whole fucking game!

It's funny how almost all of the best games on the PS2 nobody ever played; Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Beyond Good & Evil, Okami, Rez, Disgaea Hour Of Darkness, Gitaroo Man, Amplitude and of course Fahrenheit. They would all be in the top 10 PS2 games or thereabouts. Like Knox said, you simply have to play Fahrenheit, there's nothing else out there like it. Here's a trailer for Heavy Rain. It's very odd and the girl's mouth is kinda odd and the dubbing isn't finished yet, but I couldn't help liking it. It's rather disturbing.

I loved Grandia II. The graphics were shit, but the gameplay, and mileage were incredible. The fighting and magic systems were the best ever imo. I dunno anyone else who ever played it.

That was on the PS2 right? It kind of got overshadowed by the likes of Final Fantasy (even though it was shit on the PS2), Dragon Quest, Rouge Galaxy etc. Critics didn't like it's graphics I think....
I own Grandia I on the PSone, but haven't really played it lol. That reminds me....I must do the next top 10 on my 100 Best PSone coundown...

I played Grandia one and thought it was awesome as well. Incredible story and ace battle system/magic junction.
Su's an annoying character though.

Yeah Grandia one was a great achievement. I remember I clocked up like over 90 hours gameplay, such was it's vastness. The sequel though improved everything (except graphics maybe?) but kept the simplicity of the fighting and magic system, which kinda became like trying to complete a sticker book - "Gotta get that spell! Gotta learn that move!". Fantastic!
Play Grandia one Woo! You will love it.
