I said to Rich that I'd be willing to pay for the board, but it'd be in monthly installments, but he didnt seem to think the Server people would go for that.

If it isnt up and running by the end of the month, I'll pay the £160 for the board for the year.

I got the impression from Rich that he isnt gonna pay for the server upgrade or the renewal licence for the board at all ...

In the meantime, though - you have a nice board, Knox

Woo and I got told he needed $125 (£66) to sort the board out, that was from Rich himself.

And yes I can change the colours but what to? I was just trying to make it feel like home.

He said to me itd be 120 or 160 if we were to go to the fancier boards that most people liked.

If he goes vbulletin, he will lose the unique look of powerslam as many boards more or less look the same on V's software.

It's his forum and he chose to open it, surely he should of been able to pay towards it every year? Otherwise what was the point in doing so?

He could of at least gave us some warning...

And he didnt decide just to close it - the hackers messed it up and to fix it will mean it will need to be upgraded and that means more money and hes not about to pay for it so ...

I dont believe I'm sticking up for him but its not his fault - its a server issue. The hackers hacked into it and its not only our board thats affected.

You're right though Angi, he isn't about to pay for it and I doubt he ever will again. If someone else ends up paying for it, enqiure about the domain aswell and take it all off of his hands, otherwise we could end up losing that too.

Yeah, him not posting and being the owner makes no sense. If someone else was the owner, and was active, and maintained/kept up with the site, then I would understand.

Upgrades are costly, I don't see why some of us can't come together and try to help out?? Like surely if we all chipped in at least 10.00 dollars, it would be a big help for him.

Lets look at it this way - what we missing here that we get at PS? Nothing ... if we feel like its lacking members, then going back to the old board is a good idea as it generates more traffic but we should give this one a test run first ... thoughts?

Yeah, makes sense. This one is free and it will bring traffic with it as its on the proboards search engine and hopefully soon on google under "powerslam."

Lets run with it and see how well we do here. Although until more members join the efed won't be going back up.
