I also hear remakes of Hellraiser, Escape From New York, Child's Play, Near Dark and even The Rocky Horror Picture Show are in production.
My faith in Hollywood is at an all-time low...
I'm thinking of remaking The Wrestler for the Japanese market.
I'll cast Masato Tanaka as the lead. See how they fucking like it.
I am however looking forward to Outlander, after reading a feature about it in Total Film.
It's about Vikings battling with aliens. What's not to like?

Child's Play is in the line to be re-made. Dourif is apparently reluctent to work with the knob who ruined the series again though and I dont see how they could do chucky without Dourif voicing.
Still, none the less they'll go ahead. I've read on the net that it'll be closer to the original script rather than the one that MGM heavily edited. Apparently the original script showed you more of Charles Lee Rays darker side before he became a doll and there were a few more death scenes involved that were alot more gruesome. None the less this will probably be shit and end up in that god awful "horror porn" section that shit like Saw and Hostel created. Bring back the good ol; slasher days I say. And bring em back now.
