Honda Pull out of F1!

So Honda have pulled out of F1, there is still hope for a buyer, but a very small hope and they are telling people to expect to be redundant.

This means that Rubens and Jenson Button may be out of a seat next year which is crazy! In 2006 Honda were amazing, Jenson even won a race with them. Then in 2007 they were shit. In 2008 they were shit again and they kept saying "okay we are shit...we won't improve our car this year, in will be good in 2009 though!" Well that's bollocks obviously. It makes me wonder though that if they spent more time improving their 2008 car and getting more points whether they could have raised enough money to carry on....but come on this is HONDA!

It also sucks for Jenson who stupidly kept signing on for Honda year after year...

Also Honda have decided to stop making engines for F1 cars too....not sure anybody cares much about that one. Red Bull may have used Honda engines though, right???

So with Super Aguri leaving mid-2008 we are down to just 9 teams, the lowest number in years, certainly the lowest since I've been watching this sport. This sucks. Hopefully though Jordon could somehow make a comeback which would be awesome!!

But with super rich Honda pulling out what does this mean for teams like Force India, Red Bull or Williams, who had a fairly poor 2008?

Also while Button isn't getting any younger he may still get a seat somewhere, but what about Rubens? Is this the end for him? If so what a terrible way to end his career.

Sorry but I have to say "HA HA!" Sure Button has signed year on year, mostly because no-one else wanted him after the fiasco with the Williams signing (remember that?) and the fact that he is a whiney little bitch who did nothing but berate his own team race in, race out.

Rubens I do feel for. Ive long been a fan of his, its wonderful to see someone who genuinely enjoys racing and always does his best even when things have been against him (i.e being Schumachers team mate )

I remember the whole Williams-Bennaton saga where Button was signed to one team, yet raced for another. It was all very complicated.


I read yesterday that Kawasaki have no dropped out of Moto GP and that Suzuki and Subaru have left the World Rally Championsip.

Damn these Japanese manufactures are doing whatever they can to save money. Can't blame them for that, but it sucks. Raly without Subaru is crazy! That would be like F1 without Ferrari!

Codemasters must be pissed as there will be less cars in the new Colin McRae game.

So Button and Rubens WILL be in the 2009 season now. Honda F1 will now be known as Brawn F1 (named after Ross Brawn obviously). I for one am very happy with this news. It gives us a second British driver (and a 3rd British team), keeps Ruben in F1 and more importantly keeps 20 cars in F1.

Also I've been looking at the BBC F1 site and Brawn have been very competitve in practice sessions.


Also in even BETTER news I saw a BBC advert for F1 today with Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain' again being used! Yessssss!! It just wouldn't be F1 on the BBC without it.
