Well, a few months ago Knoxvillius challenged me to break the 1000 post mark by the end of the year. Sadly it doesn't look like I'll manage it. Anyway this inspired me to make a reflective thread, did you set out to accomplish anything this year and complete it? Or did you fall short like me? Making any New Year's resolutions? And for fun I thought we could take random members and make their NY resolutions for them. ;D P.S. The reason I haven't got to 1000 is the lack of site traffic, you slackers. P.P.S Merry Xmas... I guess.

Lol, Knoxvillius. Awesome, just awesome.
I accomplished what I set out to do. On the 5th of Jan I am 3 years off of being a fully fledged doctor and not just an intern. (I start killing people on the 5th.)
Other than that 2008 was a shit year, My mom died and I split up with my fiancee (who has now turned out to be a nutbag. Why does it always end up like that?).
On the upside, I just got visa papers for my new gf cleared so she can come live in CA with me.
2009 is looking good. Apart for my paitents.

I intended to carry on studying this year, but due to safety issues while Im pregnant Ive had to intermitt the year- bizzare as I could carry on actually working in the pharmacy until my due date... although secretly Im quite pleased as Ive been absolutely knackered this time around. So I guess my resolution for the coming year is to make sure I go back 2009 looks to be a good year with the new arrival due in March.

Hey Knox, you're gonna be in Ontario right??? I'm safe down here in Newfoundland?? lol
2008 was a mxed year - I lost one grandmother, and the other one found out she had cancer (luckily they caught it early and things look good). But, on the other hand, it's been a year of first with Jade - first tooth, first steps, first birthday etc, and it's amazing to watch her as she grows. It's like being a kid all over again getting to experience all this stuff with her. But I really didn't set any goals for 2008, I just wanted to take it easy and enjoy being a stay at home mom.
As for 2009, depending on if I can work out funding, and how hard it'll be to study with a toddler running around, I may try to go back to school in September. Other than that, my esolution is to enjoy every moment with my little girl because she's growing up way too fast for her mommy's liking

2008 wasn't bad for good old somar. I won a script writing competition for a 20 minute film at the beginning of the year. It got produced and i should be getting the copy sometime in the next little while. I graduated from my college and got accepted into my University of choice, although it went on strike at the start of November and there's no end in sight. There was plenty of drinking involved, including my rise as beer pong champion in my circle of friends and my polar opposite performances in Flip Cup, and some friendly encounters with Women from bars, although sadly the one i'm currently interested in keeps giving me the run around.
2009 my only real goal is to continue my writing. It's easy for me to get lazy and just play video games or watch dvds, i want to avoid that more.

Well 2008 was pretty good actually. Work wise it was very good. I work for an Independent Television company and I started there as an office runner but this year i got moved onto production. Firstly onto the Passions Of Girls Aloud then The Charlotte Church Show and now I am on a show called Sound for BBC 2. While on Sound I have learnt many a new skill (as well as doing the shows photoshop stuff ) to try and get a Researcher role next. Also got great feedback end of 07 from Channel 4 regarding my comedy and have spent all of this year working with my writing buddy to turn it into a sitcom which is going very well. I went to Rome for a holiday, Paris and various UK cities with work too. I got super-fit again...until I started on Sound in August. Then I just didnt have time for the gym or a social life! Yikes, my year has been all work work work. Oh, was also in a drama group. And I got embarressingly drunk a fair few times. So much so that only a few weeks ago I left our work Xmas drinks completely wasted at 9:30pm (we started midday!!) and I was walking home via the canal in Bethnal Green, which I never do to get home, muttering into the darkness "please don't kill me" And 'they' didn't 2009, like Somar, to keep writing. I need to find time to switch off more and just relax too. I am also saving for a trip to New York in the Summer.
