Casablanca- La Marseillaise
I love the ending too. But this scene brings a tear to my eye every time! The 2nd video continues on from the first (for some reason nobody on youtube has posted them together!) and has a great comic line.

Star Wars Episode IV- Han Shoots First!
The 'I am your father' scene was too obvious. This has to be one of the greatest introductions to a film character ever....so why Lucas fucked it up by making Greedo shoot first is anybodies guess. My guess is that he's a moron and a rubbish director too. I can't find one where Greedo's lines are subtitles though.

Hard Boiled- Hospital Scene
Well I had to have at least 1 Woo film here and this is great. I love the tea house shoot out too, but I'll go with this, just for the incredible single shot take that lasts ages.

Anyway trying not to repeat Tim who has listed a handful of my fave scenes, Leon is one of my favourite movies and to only post one scene - to me - doesn't do it justice but here goes. Almost an entire police force try to take out the best hitman in the world.

I love all the Bourne films, here is one fight scene from The Bourne Identity. Watch for the pen.



The Matrix owns, I would've picked the 10,000 agents part of the second one, but that'd be obvious. My favourite is actually this one, Keanu is brilliant blocking everything with absurd ease. Fast forward to 2:30.



From my 2nd fave, Sin City. I hated the Yellow Bastard so much. "After a while all I'm doing is pounding wet chunks of bone into the floorboards... so I stop."

The part from Blues Brother which makes me laugh everytime. It's so fucking stupid how far the car falls.

A great piece of natural acting from all three leads, and the legend goes that Robert Shaw actually wrote the USS Indianapolis monologue himself.

THE THING
The scene where Kurt Russell decides to give everyone a blood test. The tension here is palpable and sums up the paranoia of the whole movie.

AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON
This scene at the beginning of the movie actually bears little relevance to the storyline, but is among the most memorable and quotable scenes ever. It's a shame I couldn't find the ending to this sequence where the guy misses the dartboard and forces the two Americans to leave the pub - and ultimately find their fate at the hands of the werewolf.

The actual scene I want to show is about 4:45 into this clip, and has to be seen to be believed. Eric Bana plays this to perfection.

GROSSE POINTE BLANK
I love this black comedy, and this is a standout scene. One of the best fight scenes ever. Second only to the one below this one...

THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY
Thsi scene where he really puts the Americans in their place, is really memorable, but it's the final scene with Harry in the back seat which shows just how underrated Bob Hoskins is as an actor. He doesn't even say a word, yet you can see the mixture of frustration, anger (with himself), irony and resignation at his impending fate.

THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY
I'm a big fan of the use of music to enhance a scene, and this is amongst the best ever, up there with the Apocalypse Now scene above. It really conveys the madness of the whole movie, as he runs wildly through the graves frantically searching for the grave which hides the buried treasure.
