Whilst bored, I thought Id take a look at my spam folder and see who is sending me what.
Imagine my suprise when I discovered that among the viagra and other meds offers were a bunch of emails from major UK banks. HSBC, Abbey, Halifax, TSB all sent me emails telling me that my account had been locked for security reasons and I needed to follow a (decidedly dodgy looking) link to give them my correct details... *roll eyes*
Now I dont have an account with any of these banks, but I wonder if people do actually fall for that one?

I'd say sompe people do... if those are major banks then chances are that some of the people that get the email have accounts with them, and there are lots of people who would follow that link without thinking twice on the assumption that it was a legit email from their bank.. I mean if ideas like that didnt work, they wouldn't do them.
Anyways, my spam folder was full of the usual - viagra and other meds, the make money online crap, and various other stuff i told gmail to mark as spam

My sister did one of those scam emails Kel, god I laughed for hours when I found out.
I get stuff like "!)(£';~BUY VIAGRA!!~@}" Looks normal enough to me. I also recieve all my facebook stuff in my spam folder, otheriwse I'd have like 20 new emails daily.

Knox, you know you can go into facebook, and turn off all those email notifications right?? Yeah but I'm to lazy so it takes less effort to click "delete all"

I gt the usual Viagra crap, but a few weeks back I got one from Paypal saying I needed to verify my password etc. I thought it odd that it went to my junk folder so I double checked (I would never... evvvver re-input my password anyway, but meh (yes, a real word now according to the Oxford)). Anyway, turns out the link said paypa1.com. Snidy twats changed the letter "l" for a number "1". How very clever... NOT!
Makes you wonder how many people do fall for this kind of bobbar though.
