I am sure there are a lot of PoP fans here and I am sure there are a lot of people who already know the details of this latest game, which is scheduled for release next month (on the PS3, 360 and PC's) but I thought I'd make a thread for it anyway.
There are a lot of things to talk about, but the biggest change has to be the graphics as they are no cell-shaded.
What's your take on that guys? I have always loved cell-shaded games and think they look stunning- Okami, Fear Effect, Viewtiful Joe, Killer 7, XIII etc.. but for one reason or another they never seem to sell well so this is a bit of a gamble. It could either damage the franchise or re-start the cel shading boom all over again.
Also though I couldn't find definitive information on wikipedia I reading OPSM that the ability to slow down and reverse time have been dropped for this one, which is a massive change as that was Sands of Time's big gimmick.
In it's place is a secondary character non-playable who helps you out with puzzles and such.....which sounds like a terrible idea. We alll know how much it sucks to babysit a character- Ashley Graham (RE4) & Natalya (Goldeneye) I'm looking at you, so hopefully this is as fun as Ubisoft are making out it is.
Fortunately the secondary character, Elika, looks like this:
Also the developers have said that this game will be going back to The Sand's of Times' style, so fingers crossed that means all the emo nonsense is gone.
So is anybody have the new Prince of Persia on their Christmas lists?
