Consoles You Have Owned

Okay basically what consoles have you owned in the past or currently own? Simply list them, maybe with a few of your favourite games for the console. Might be a cool trip down memory lane. Here's mine:

ZX Spectrum
Favourite games: Jet Set Will
Okay it was my dads and he very rarely let me play on it, but I was allowed to play Jet Set Willy. Games were so much harder back then!

Master System
Favourite games: Pac-Man, Alex Kidd, Sonic the Hedgehog
My first real console. It game with Sonic built-in, which was a shame as I loved he built-in Alex Kidd game on my mates System instead. Pac-Man was the first game I played on it...this version wasn't great.

Mega Drive/Genesis
Favourite games: Sonic 1, 2, 3 & Knuckles, Toe Jam & Earl, James Pond 2 Robocod, Road Rash, Italia 90, Streets of Rage, Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, Quack Shot
I loved my Megadrive. The games were fantastic. TJ&Earl was my favourite hilarious and fun. I downloaded a cool drum'n'bass remix off of youtube the other day lol.

Game Gear
Favourite games: Columns, Lemmings, Mickey Mouse' Castle of Illusions, Chess Master
I had fun playing this portable Master System more than the actual console lol. Lemmings was and still is a landmark title. I used to play that whenever we went on long car journeys until my eyes started to hurt.

Super Nintendo
Favourite games: Sensible Soccer, Star Wing
It wasn't actually mine, but my uncles, but for some reason we had it for a few months. Star Wing/Fox was sooo hard, so I ended up playing SENSI instead. I loved it so much I ended up being another Sensible Soccer game on the PC.

PC
Favourite games: Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Broken Sword, Worms Reinforsements, Theme Hospital, Theme Park, 7th Guest, Doom, Duke Nukem, Kingdom O' Magic, Simon the Sorcerer, Championship Manager, F1 Manager
Okay obviously PC doesn't count as a console but back then it was all I played on. There were so many fantastic games that were only available on the PC such as the classic FPS games or the old Point'n'Click adventures of which there used to be lots. I haven't played a PC game in years now.

Playstation
Favourite games: Tekken 2, Tekken 3, FF VII, Driver, Syphon Filter 1, 2, 3, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, Micro Machines V3, Crash Team Racing, Twisted Metal 2, Gran Turismo, Toca World Touring Cars, Tomb Raider 1&2, Wipeout 2097
Now this is when I really started to love video games. These titles really opened my eyes and showed me what games could really do. This remains my favourite console ever

Playstation 2
Favourite games: GTA III, VC, SA, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Devil May Cry, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Metal Gear Solid 3, Timesplitters 2, Burnout 3, Singstar, Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth, Pro Evolution Scoccer
My love for the PS2 is almost as big as the PSone. Again there were amazing games being released every month and I was always excited to see what score the next big game would get. It was GTA III that really made me want to own this console and after playing that and my second game DMC I knew I had made a good decision.

Playstation 3
Favourite games: Tekken DR, Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, Stranglehold
What happened? I loved the PS2 right up until the end when they were still making fantastic games like Okami but I really don't like the PS3.... GTA IV and MGS IV both disappointed me and it's only Tekken DR (an old PSP game available only via a download) that I have gone back to. Oh well, I hope things will pick up.


Btw I out of those consoles I still own several PSones and PS2's, my PS3 and bought a Megadrive about 4 years ago.

Wow, okay...

Commedore 64
Dizzy Dizzy Dinosaur!! That was pretty much the only game I was ever allowed to play on the c64. My sister did once let me play Nightmare on Elm Street. It was safe to say being 3, I didn't sleep that night.

Nintendo Entertainment System or NES
Duck Hunt, Robocop, Super Mario Bros, Ice Hockey (yeah, simple name lol), Dizzy's Magic Kingdom. This was the first proper under the TV console I owned. I loved it to bits, still have it and it still works!

Sega Mega Drive 1 and 2
Pretty much for all the games like Woo. I need to give Streets of Rage, Golden Axe and Road Rash honorable mentions though. These games made my youth. I'd spend hours attempting to complete them, only to die over and over. I love the saving thing now, could you imagine if you had to restart a game everytime you die now? It'd take forever to complete GTA. Mega Drive 2 is on the list due to my original version dying a slow and painful death. Again, Still have my MD2.

Nintendo 64
Super Mario 64, Donkey Kong Country, GOLDEN 'fucking' EYE!! Seriously? What didn't this console deliver? I loved it. Still have mine out on the shelf today, still play it too.

Sony Playstation
Rayman, GTA, Destruction Derby, the banned Thrill Kill, Mortal Kombat 3, Tekken, Croc, Pandemonium, Metal Gear Solid, WWF Smackdown, Crash Bandicoot, Spyhon Filter 1 and 2, Wipeout. This is when my Fanboyism started. This console was great, I got it on it's launch back in 1995. Sony were kind enough to send the consoles to my local woolworths but no games. I had to make do with the demo disc in the box for a whole month!

Playstation 2
GTA III, VC, SA, Devil May Cry, WWE Here Comes the Pain, Singstar, Max Payne 1 and 2, Burnout, Gran Turismo 3, Need for Speed Undercover, Pro Evo. The only console on my list that I no longer own. It died recently and all my games are PAL region. I cried when it died, it was an original console too. Lasted me nearly 9 whole years.

Gamecube
Simpsons Road Rage, Mario Sunshine, Luigi Sunshine, Resi Evil 4.
The most poor console on my list, if it wasn't for the Resi Evil exclusivity I think that Nintendo would of been forced out of the Console Race here.

Xbox
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2, Halo, Project Gotham Racing, Conkers bad Fur Day, Halo 2, Farenheit. The console gave me my most played game ever in Farenheit. I just cant get enough of the game after Woo recommended it too me. I liked the Xbox but for the most it collected dust on my shelf, shame really. Probably due to the stupidly sized controller.

Xbox 360
Bully, GTA IV, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Halo 3, Lost Planet, Gears of War, Skate, Star Wars Force Unleashed, Fable 2, Viva Pinata, Guitar hero 3, Rock Band. Yep I did it, I got my 360 the August after it launched due to being impaitent with the PS3. I dont regret it either. I play this more than any other current gen console.

Playstation 3
Uncharted, Fifa 09 and Singstar... yeah not many games here that I play on my PS3. I'll get Resi Evil 5 on the PS3 but I use it mostly to watch stuff online with it lol.

Wii
Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Super Mario Galaxy, Sonic and the Secret Rings. Seriously wtf Nintendo? Why is this console stupidly casual? I actually regret asking for one last xmas. I haven't played mine since June. Not even Manhunt 2 made this console worth playing...

and finally the most underated console ever....

SEGA Dreamcast!!
Sonic Adventure, Headhunter, Crazy Taxi, WWF Attitude, Dave Mirra, Phantasy Star, Tony Hawk. I play my Dreamcast so much people think I'm crazy. It's the most underated console ever and only died because of the lack of DVD support which Sony made use of with the PS2 less than six months later lol. Sega's fault, but I still love my DC. It gave us the best Sonic game ever.

SNES
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time - Shredder sends the Turtles back in time. They have to fight through the Foot Clan to get back home. Pretty self-explanatory, really. The best part of the gameplay though is the two-player mode. My brother, my friend, and I probably beat it 30 times combined, not exaggerating.

Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball - Basketball with bombs and weapons thrown in from the audience. And when you thought it couldn't get any more extreme...no fouls either!

Playstation
Final Fantasy VII - This game was cutting edge back in the day. The cut scenes were impressive and the gameplay was addicting. I tried to play this game again a month back...Got bored within five minutes. That's not taking anything away from it though.

Ape Escape - The game that finally made good use of the analog sticks. You play some kid who uses gadgets to collect a bunch of monkeys....It's better than it sounds.
