I am not sure how many people have heard about LBP, but I assume some of you have as it's been featured on many covers of video game magazines over the last few months. For those who haven't heard of it the game's big hook is that the player gets to create their own levels and pretty much create them however they want. The game is also famous for it's unique character design who have sack-like bodies as demonstrated by Sackboy here.
It's also a Playstation 3 exclusive game, which seeing how Sony lost the exclusive rights to GTA, DMC and Tekken (yes! Even Tekken?! WTF?) over the last few years, is a pretty big deal for Sony. I thought the idea of making your own levels and then sharing them online with other people sounded incredibly complicated, but the game is receiving glowing reviews this far. It got a 10/10 in OPSM over here in the UK and even got a 10/10 from Edge magazine, only the 10th game to get the perfect score in their 16 year history and currently has a 95% on Game Rankings website.
So despite my reservations on the how it all sound a bit complicated (why they making me make the levels? Surely that's the developers job, right?!) I think I'll buy it when it comes out. It also has it's own levels so you don't have to create your own and also (and this is the bit I really like the idea of) the tutorials that explain the game for you are narrated by Steven Fry from QI and Blackadder. So seeing as how I have a PS3 and not a 360 it almost feels like a waste if I don't buy it.
So who's buying this game then?
