I think both tournaments were in Brazil too lol. I thought the IC "tourney" was in puerto Rico. I actually believed the story for years, of Pat Patterson winning the title. It was only when the veil of kayfabe fell that the lie they had perpetuated was revealed. I love the way Vince alters history. He's like a real life supervillain! You have to feel for poor Bossman for being kept out of the loop despite everything he had done for the WWF and Vince, including protecting everybody from the crazed psycho that was Nailz. He would later end up getting hung by Taker in a HIAC in an effort trying to protect Vince.......who was working with Taker all along! Jesus, once AGAIN Bossman gets fucked by Vince! Poor fellow. Anyway the whole Foley/Rock/Austin situation would lead to a triple threat match at Mania.....wait, nope, HBK used his backstage clout to stop that. See HBK doesn't like triple threats in the main event at Mania and thus would NEVER be in one himself.
