Okay out of these 3 legendary 60's-70's British bands who is the best?
My votes would go- 3rd Stones, 2nd Beatles, 1st Who.

Beatles and Stones, whilst undoubtedly being highly influential, are in my opinion also vastly overrated. The Who meanwhile, always seemed like the ginger-haired stepchild of the three, but are also what I considered the original "rock band". Their lifestyle was outrageous and paved the way for the hellraisers I idolise today. Their music had balls unlike any other band of the sixties.
On top of that, they wrote possibly the greatest rock-opera of all time in Tommy, which went on to become my most watched films throughout my childhood, having watched it an estimated 50-60 times before my fifteenth birthday.
After Tommy, the band embraced the Mod culture, which I despised. I could never understand why a band so all-out rock, could seemingly overnight turn into that which historically is everything we rockers hated about the wankers at school.
Shame on you The Who, but thanks for everything up to and especially including Tommy.
Favourite Who song ever is Won't Get Fooled Again. Basically a showcase for the genius that was Keith Moon, but containing one of the best guitar hooks all time.

I think the Who are vastly overrated, as are the Beatles.
Stick the Doors in there and you'd have imo the most overrated band in history.
