It pains me immensely to break the news that one of my favourite fighters of all time has died.
I could not believe it when I heard the news. Very very sad indeed.
I loved the fact that every time you saw Evan, he looked different, and had added a new chapter in his highly adventurous life. The guy did almost everything you could think of, and always came back in tip-top physical shape for every fight he had.
Sure he lost a fair few of his most recent fights, but I just loved watching him and hearing of his escapades.

Last time I saw him he was sporting the most amazing beard, and Josh Rogan even joked that he was going head to head with Kimbo Slice for the best beard in MMA.

Man, I'm gonna miss Evan incredibly. What a great loss for the sport.

Rest in peace Evan.

Shame. I believe he was the Middleweight Champion when I first got into watching the UFC.

And his beard over the last several months (six months? I think that might be the last time I saw his picture) was indeed shocking and legendary all at once.
