I really wanted to put The Machinist and Sweeny Todd into my list, but they just missed out.
10. Finding Nemo- My favorite of the Pixar films, mainly due to Doreen, who is an hilarious character. A really enjoyable family film.
9. Donnie Darko- A really original dark film that plays with your mind for days afterwards.
8. James Bond: Casino Royale- A back to basis film for the series and a return to form after the dreadful Die Another Day. The parkour on foot chase at the start instantly becomes one of Bond's greatest ever scenes. The best Bond since The Spy Who Loved Me.
7. The Departed- Great remake of a great film that also could have made this list. Probably the best gangster flick since Goodfellers.
6. Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King- The whole trilogy is phenomenal but it's the final film where the stakes are raised and the emotions are heightened. The scenes with Frodo, Sam and Gollum are perfect. Shame about the ending....all four of them...
5. Pirates Of The Caribbean- It's just a really fun film. Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow is instantly one of cinema's great creations. I liked the 2nd film too, but didn't enjoy the 3rd one nearly as much.
4. Batman: The Dark Knight- Batman Begins, just like Casino Royale did, took the franchise reset the franchise and did away with the elements that bogged down the previous films. Dark Knight then raised the bar and perfected the formula.
3. Shaun Of The Dead- It's a great comedy, a great zombie film and the best Zom-Com ever!
2. Memento- Batman director Christopher Nolan rose to fame with this film-noir corker. An amazing premise of a movie- how do you solve a murder, when you have no memory?...
1. Battle Royale- One of my favorite films ever. Watch it!
