So who's seen Batman yet?
I keep meaning to go and watch it with my brother but then something comes up and we can't go. Can't wait though, it's getting amazing reviews.

I saw it 2 weeks ago now on a special preview. It's stupidly fantastic. Possibly one of the best films ever imo. There just isn't a moment where the action stops.

I saw it last night and thought it was amazing. It's almost completely without fault and is by far the best superhero movie I have ever seen, far better than Spider-Man 2- a film I really didn't like and am perplexed by it's glowing reviews.
The action sequences were really brilliant and never over-blown unlike Batman Forever and & Robin were. The story made sense and the character's motivations were very well defined and the acting was simply staggering, with Heath Ledger single-handily running away with the movie and probably the Oscar too.
I have only two reservations, sadly *SPOILERS* will follow....
the first one being that I was loving Harvey Dent's journey from the 'White Knight of Gotham' into the psychotically cool Two Face and feel that it is a very big shame they killed him off. I understand why he had to go and that the film's overall theme wouldn't have worked had he stayed alive, but Two-Face is possibly my favorite Batman character and Dent's spell as the villain was all too brief and rather than see him "die the hero" I wanted to see him "live to turn into the villain".
My second reservation is that the film is so good it's almost impossible to think of Nolan or anybody else topping it.
Seriously go watch this film if you haven't seen it yet. It's worth paying just for the Joker's magic trick alone... *****

Dude, Harvey Dent isn't dead. Aaron Eckhart has signed on for the third film. It's quite a big shock I know, but Nolan doesn't like to kill Criminals in the series as he believes in the true Batman universe that if every villan was to die, Batman would have no-one to fight.

How's he survive the funeral then? Or is that going to be explained in the 3rd film?

It will all more than likely be explained. What you got to remember was the funeral was for the Harvey Dent the city knew, not what he had become. Still the scene where you saw the burns was pretty sick imo. Way different to any comic version of two face.

I liked the movie very much. I mean obviously the action scenes were amazing but that's not what did it for me. What did it for me was the acting. omg Ledger's performance was amazing but i don't think he will get an Oscar. They usually don't give out Oscars to people they can't hug as messed up as that sounds. The quotes in this movie were good. This is one of the few movies where i find myself saying the quotes when out with friends and stuff.
" Lets rewinds the clocks, a year ago these cops and lawyers wouldn't dare touch you. I mean what happened? Your balls drop?"

Well Knox, according to Aaron Eckhart Two Face is indeed a goner:
Q: Is Harvey Dent alive? Aaron Eckhart: No. He is dead as a door nail.
Q: So he's not coming back? Eckhart: He ain't coming back baby!
Q: I was hoping he would. Eckhart: No. I asked Chris [Nolan] that question and he goes, "You're dead" before I could even get the question out of my mouth. "Hey Chris, am I?" "You're dead!" Alright, cool.
I know Nolan said he didn't want to kill any of the major villains off, but had Two Face survived then the whole 2nd film would have lost it's meaning. They wrote Dark Knight in a way that Dent had to die, otherwise Joker would have won. Obviously Joker wasn't meant to die, but we all know what happened there.
Hopefully the next film will have Riddler, in fact I am 70% sure it will. No other villain is as iconic, bar Penguin and Catwoman, and out of them 3 Edward E Nigma is the only one that works in Nolan's universe. Though I reckon they could bring Joker back, Prison Break's T-Bag would be perfect.

Well from the Interview Eckhart gave the other day he said that he had been told his character would indeed be returning for a third film. I guess all this back and forth is to leave us all guessing.
