Well the title of this thread is pretty self-explanatory really. What are your favorite songs from the Fab Four?
Here are mine.

1. Yesterday
Yeah, no Hey Jude in my top 5. I love their more chirpy pop songs along with Yesterday, which I think is one of the greatest songs ever.
So what's your favorite Beatles song?

I'm not a Beatles fan at all, but I do like one or two of their songs.
My favourite two are probably Hey Jude, Eleanor Rigby and Yesterday.
How very generic of me...

Highly overrated?
I suppose any band lauded as the "best ever" will seem overrated to you if you don't think they are, in fact the best ever.
I feel the same way about The Doors and The Who.
With regards to The Beatles I tend to like mostly their later stuff - their early stuff hasn't dated well.
I'd put "Come Together", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "A Day In The Life" as my three favourites.

I feel the same way about The Doors and The Who. The Doors?- Yep me too. I don't really care for them at all, but the Who?! I LOVE the Who! I think they are every bit as good as the Beatles, ie. Very good. It's the Rolling Stones who I feel is the most overated out of the Beatles or the Who. Hmm, that gives me the idea for a thread. |
