Okay I was going to do a top 10 animal thread, but there are way way too many to choose from. I was then just going to do a top 10 mammals one, but realized that most of my favorites actually live in the sea... so yeah what are your top 10 mammals that live on land?
Here are mine:
10. Ratel- Also known as the 'killer badger'!!! Kill cows, snakes and even puts up good fights against crocodiles and leopards. In the Guinness book of records as 'Worlds Bravest Animal' apparently.
9. Orang-utan- My mum's favorite animal. Both types are critically endangered- my favorite (the ones without the funny faces) even more so.
8. Gorilla- I went to Chessington Zoo last year and a gorilla walked right about to the glass, laid down and started scratching his balls. So like humans.
7. Margay- They are a large cat for those that are wondering. I used to prefer the ocelot, mainly for the awesome Metal Gear character, but Margays are cooler as they live in trees and can chase squirrels in the tree tops.
6. Rabbit- Not the most popular pick I am sure most of you would put tigers or lions in front of a rabbit, but they don't have long floppy ears which make them look so so cuddly...
5. Chimpanzee- Hilarious to watch and impossible to dislike. I miss the old PG Tips adverts with the chimps.
4. Snow Leopard- My favorite of the feline family as it's coat looks the nicest. Sadly endangered.
3. MeerCat- Meerkats used to be my favorite animal until I saw meerkat manor and saw what vicious bastards they can be.
2. Koala- Another really cute one- I heard they really smell though.
1. Giant Panda- Aww so cute. I would love to have a pet panda in my garden would be awesome. Go on youtube and type in 'Scared panda' to see a really cute funny one.
