Okay I was watching a UEFA Champions League programme hyping up todays and Wednesday's games and they did a brief montage of all the European goal keeping greats and featured an amazing save by Coupet which I thought I'd share with you. After that I decided to look for my great saves and saw this one from Claudio Bravo which I think is even better. Also this one never gets old. Then I saw this on the other side. One of the dumbest goal keeping blunders I have seen in ages. You have to wait until about 26 seconds to see what actually happend. Enjoy.

The first save on the Claudio one was a bit of a fluke, very lucky not to have an own goal there.
The guy from Chile though, that's the kind of goalkeeper most clubs need. How quick did he move?
As for the blunder from Japan, what the hell was he trying to do? I'm still laughing because of that.

Those are all quite impressive (even the last one - I'm impressed with his stupidity). Different sport, but I love this save, mainly because it was for my favorite team. First ruled a goal but then overturned because, well, it's not a goal. youtube.com/watch?v=2en2oKYx9SY

That's an incredible save. No way in hell did that cross the line either.
So who won the game in the end?

I don't remember. It was two years ago, and they play that team (the Philadelphia Flyers) 8 times a year.
