Okay while Tekken is my favorite fighting game I quite like Namco's other series. I'm not a huge fan despite owning Soul Blade, Soul Calibur II and III as the games much harder to get into than Tekken.
I plan on buying a PS3 soon and I will be buying the 4th Soul Calibur because it has been announced that Darth Vader of all people will be on the PS version while the XBox gets Yoda (losers.)
I dunno why they will be featured in the games as I have never seen any star wars characters in a Namco game before, but playing as Vader would be freaking awesome.
Anyone else planning to buy this game, or any other fans of the series in general?

I'll get it on the PS3 when it does come out. I prefer Vader too, although Woo you do really need to stop you PS Fanboy. You're as bad as the people on Gamespot...
Anyway, the only advantage being Yoda would have is the speed he has.

I can't help it that Sony consoles are the best and have dominated the market for 14 years.
Do not underestimate the power of the playstation young apprentice.
Not sure how fair it will be using a light sabre, which should mean instant kills. Yoda should use his size to his advantage, but who wants to play as a green goblin when you could be Vader? I hope Tekken's Yoshimitsu makes it into the game too. Him vs Vader would be epic.

I dunno if the sabre would mean instant death, would be awesome though. I will probably end up renting the 360 version of the game when they come out, just to see what Yoda is like to play with.

So did you buy this game in the end Knox? I decided not too until I see it going cheap. I own all 3 of the Soul games available on a PS system and tbh I have never really played any of them.
The Star Wars characters, Yoda especially, are getting a lot of critism from long-time Soul fans, though the game is still meant to be pretty damn good.

I rented it on the 360 and nothing has really changed. No instant deaths with 'Sabres, which would of been cool.
Yeah I've not yet got an understanding as to why they need to put additional characters in games like this. To be honest, I bought Super Smash Bros on the Wii over this and I honestly think I made the better decision.
