Okay so far, this year sucks. We're barely into Febraury and I've had enough bad bews to last the whole year. First, my mom, who hadn't phoned me in almost 2 months, phones and tells me she has MS - which, I'm still not entirely sure if I believe, and that makes me feel worse about it (my mom tells a lot of lies and is not above lieing about her health). Then my great-aunt has a heart attack and is having all sorts of complications as a result. she's having surgery today to have a stint put in to repair a leaky vavle and the dictors have pretty much told her that she'll die without the surgery and even with the surgery there are no guarentees. And yesterday, my grandmother (dad's mom) found out she has throat cancer. My family is just the picture of perfect health. To top all this off, Jade has decided that she wants to sleep no more than 3, maybe 4, hours at a time in the night so I'm up at least 2-3 times with her a night and the lack of sleep just makes everything worse. Oh, and of course, I'm getting a cold, which is only a minor thing, but if Jade gets it I'll crack, I can't take anymore bad news. I'm ready to start pulling my hair out as it is.
So, rant over... how's everyone else's year going so far? Anyone have any GOOD news to share??? I really could use some.

I have some good news... You are not alone in having to get up 2-3 times in the night because of a crying baby I don't have kids, but I have nephews, and my brothers were kept awake for hours when their kids wouldn't sleep. Swines... Seriously though, that's some bad news, Dini, about your family's health. Sorry to hear it. You need to try and not let it get you down, if possible. Concentrate on Jade, again if possible. Family's almost always pull together in these circumstances. I'm sure yours will also. I have some good news! I won a great home cinema reciever I was watching on eBay. It was at £92, and at the last minute I slapped in a bid of £131, winning it for only £113. Sweet deal! I can just imagine the guy's face who had the highest bid, as he was outbid by me in the dying seconds... It's a pretty sweet piece of kit too. 3 years old, and £500 brand new. Here's a review for anyone who's interested (I'm a bit of an audiophile...) www.homecinemachoice.com/cgi-bin/displayreview.php?reviewid=4834Oh, and the good news is, it arrived this morning!

Hey Dini, Jade not sleeping is probably due to her having a growth spurt. For some reason it makes them not want to sleep and it always happens just when you think youve seen the end of 3 hour sleep nights. As a heads up, this isnt the end either- you have teething and vaccination sickness to come too. Buuuuut on the upside it means she is growing healthy and strong. Before you know where you are she'll be toddling around the kitchen kicking potatoes around the floor Im so sorry to hear about your family's health problems, these things always happen at the same time, but as Metal said, try to keep your focus on your daughter, youre her mummy and she needs you more than anyone else does. *hugs*
