He's a really nice guy, had lots to say. I think I spoke to him for about 2 hours, missed the whole gig as I was sat at the bar with him.

I loved him in the first series of Boosh but he sees to have gotten very big and out of the Boosh enviroment hes not brilliantly funny although he and Russel Brand were ace on Big Fat Quiz of the year,
Lol what did you talk about and what gig was it you saw him at?

Anything really, I had my Boosh shirt on from their tour and thats how we got talking. He was telling me how BBC wanted to put Boosh on BBC 1 on a friday night but he and Julian plain refused.

I have actually never seen the Mighty Boosh at all... everyone raves about them though. I did see Noel Fielding and Russel Brand (I like his stand-up, but don't like his TV work) on last years Big Fat Quiz of the Year and they were a great team.
I really like all the other ones you guys have listed. But Cloud listed Frankie Boyle and Russell Howard who I have never seen do a stand-up, but they are unbelievably funny on Mock the Week, so I reckon they will be great.
I would love to see one of our American posters top 10 to see who they like and to see if any of our English stand-ups make it into their favorites.

I haven't watched much TV here in Canada, I just stick to what I know so I can't say what the comedians are like.
Woo you should watch Boosh, it's back on BBC Three now. I watch the new series via the website, due to Series one has only just started on BBC CA here.

I usually only watch stuff on the main 4 channels as I can get them in my room and the TV downstaris is usually taken up by my Mum, Stepdad or my sister watchinG Disney films. They should air it on BBC Two's 'Thursdays Are Funny's...."

After the series has finished on BBC Three it'll come onto BBC 2 but usally really late at night. That's when I first caught it, I was like "Wtf is this? why are there coconuts talking?"
Anyway, it's great. Go buy the DVD's.

Not a great big fan of stand up comedy, or any comedy for that matter, but a few do stand out so here goes.
10. Emo Phillips 9. Lee Hurst 8. Steven Wright 7. Al Murray 6. Billy Connolly 5. Lee Evans 4. Bob Monkhouse (massively underrated, he was a comedy genius) 3. Dave Allen 2. Bill Hicks 1. Denis Leary (nobody else on this list except Hicks comes even close)
