Just watched it, and I can say it's pretty awesome. I heard lots of mixed reviews about it, mostly bad, when it first came out. But having watched it I made up my own mind that it was very worthy. Based on a comic book I confess I had never heard of when the buzz about it first began some three or four years ago. Even now I still haven't read it, but on the strength of the movie I may have to check it out.
It's got a great mysterious storyline - it's slightly like 1984, crossed with Zorro. The story gradually unravels via some splendidly dark action scenes reminiscent of the best Batman movies (Batman 1989 and Batman Begins).
I've seen it for as little as £3.99 on DVD so I intend to invest. It's currently running nightly on Sky Movies Premier, so try and catch it if at all poss.

Yeah I saw it when it came out and thought it was fantastic. It's alot different to whats currently on offer as far as comic book films go.
Very well put together and I enjoyed it from start to finish.

MB if you loved the film (which i did too) you will love the graphic novel (comic to you heatherns) too! Its awesome. Look up Vertigo Comics. As far as this goes in relation to comic book films, of course it is different as the subject material is darker than most of your Fantastic Four or Superman comics. (Mostly cos he doesnt wear a gay costume). But also the subject matter, in a way, is more realistic in relation to terrorism, totalitarian governments, drug testing etc. Remind me to talk about this another time, im tired and wanna go bed
