After the all mighty cock and balls up that was Euro 2008 England sacked Steve Mclaren, and there is a lot of talk about a new manager, who are your picks, I woud go for Mourinho and Harry Redknapp but with Redknapp being arrested around the bungs enquiry I doubt he will now be involved, then again knowing the current manager go round im putting my money on Gary Megson
Theres no doubt that Mourinho would be excellent for England as he would keep all the egos in check, pick players on merit and would sort out the media

Mourinho would be fantastic, but I thought his settlement from Chelsea was that he wasn't allowed his first job back in management to be in england?

I'd like to see Jose too, but I don't think it will happen. I am pretty sure though that Chelsea's contract wouldn't mean he couldn't manage England itself.
The FA have about 12 months to choose so they can take their time about it and choose wisely.

I thought the clause was that he couldn't take a club job in England for 12 months, not an international one, but Im not completely sure on that

So Jose said he didn't want the job after all.
The search continues. I am officially ruling myself in for the job. Hello FA I'm here if you want me.

Haha, you should send them a letter.
Maybe I should. I won back to back titles and champions league cups, 4 seasons in a row on Football Manager with liverpool.

Yeah yeah Knox, Liverpool sure are the bomb, only they imploded on Sunday against my Man U...
Anyway the FA have made up their minds and they have chosen 61 year old Italian Fabio Capello.
I think it's a good move as he is a very good club manager and has a terrific record. It's true he isn't English, but how many good managers are?
