Ok, I'm going to make a bracket style tournament with 64 of the top games ever made; now only one opinion of the top games doesn't make it the top games ever, so what I went is you guy's to come in this thread and post your top 5 or 10 video games and I will add it to the bracket, once I get 64 I will start...

First of all I would like to argue with some of the current games mentioned. Not because they are bad, but because I think there are better ones in the same series. - GTA San Andreas- PS2. (The best of the 3 by far imo.) - Resident Evil 4. Gamecube/PS2. (All of the main 4 Resi's have been great but 4 reinvented the series for the better and is probably the best game on both the Gamecube and the PS2) - Tomb Raider 1- PSone (Yes 2 is good also, but I think the first one is more of a legend.) - Gran Turismo 2- PSone (I think this is where the series reached it's peak.) Wipeout 2097- PSone (It just improved on the orginal in every way).
Old School Games Pong- ? Space Invaders- Atari Pac-Man- ? Lemings- Amiga Elite- ? Guantlet- ? Defender- ? Worms- PC Sensible Scoccer (Amiga)
PC Games Broken Sword- PC World of Warcraft- PC Half-Life- PC Doom- PC Sam & Max Hit The Road
Nintendo Super Mario Bros- Snes Mario Kart- Snes Tetris- Gameboy
Sega Toe Jam & Earl Streets Of Rage Road Rash
Sony Parappa The Rapper- PSone Final Fantasy VII- PSone Metal Gear Solid- PSone Silent Hill 2- PS2 Ico- PS2

This is quite a difficult one
Final Fantasy VII, I waited along time to play this game and what can I say its exceptional, has excellent storyline and what it lacks in graphics makes up for in story, Who didn't feel a lump in your throat when aeries got killed by Sephiroth, as with the trek to the Northen Crater originally is what makes this so awesome, if I was to judge this game on the first two discs it would probably be the best game ever but I personally found the last disk rushed, the fall of Shinra as well as the fall of Midgar, however it offers lots and I generally felt fucking awesome when I beat the ruby and emerald weapon and the sephiroth battle is initally challenging and with a great musical score this is excellent,
Final Fantasy VI, I only played this on the gba and have heard rumours was better on the psone and snes but for me this is an excellent game that is on a par with 7 if technical limitations are not taken into account, the whole storyline with Kefka is excellence and he plays the pantomine villain much better than Sephiroth (although Seph is much cooler) It also grips you to the end and throws in a bonus dungeon with the Kaiser Dragon and Omega Weapon and are a genuine challenge at level 99, not many RPGs can argue with that, with excellence scope for indiviual character development this dicks all over all pre 7 final fantasy's and at points was more enjoyable for me than 7
Football Manager 2007, All of the Football Manager, Sports Interactive Champ Manager games are interchangable for me but I love to play these and take Norwich to Champions league football, currently Norwich are riding high on 2007 with carlose vela and okaka banging them in, Ive spent over 8 days playing time on it since May,
UN Squadron
This was on the snes and MegaDrive but I love this one on the snes as its a true old school shooter in the R Type mould, completable in 45 mins but never gets old, the scenario is you as a 1 man plane against hordes on enemies with upgradable planes and weapons, and some truly awesome bosses make this a blast to play even 17 years after I completed it
Ill update more in good time

FFVII is by far the best in the series. The storyline is fantastic and as you said Cloud, the musical score is brilliant. I dont think Square have managed to beat it (the last FF was dire and bore no resemblance to the earlier ones) and, until such time as they just redo VII, I doubt they ever will. Other than Final Fantasy, Im not much for video games as such. My real addiction is with World of Warcraft on the PC, which I have been playing on and off for 2 years now. Every time I try to cancel my account, they release something new that keeps me hooked, plus Ive found a wonderful guild of great people-its harder to give up than smoking tbh... although I find that hard too Sam, you still playing your Pally?

No, I only today cancelled my account entirely.
He was lvl 70 healadin with the inverted judgement gear and epic everything else. Healed through Karazhan a lot which we full cleared, then my guild In Hoc Signo Vinces went to pieces, I understand they still raid but by that point I was very bored of the game anyway.
I work full time now anyway, so even if I wasn't bored by it I'd have no time to play.
It was a fun year though.

I am currently playing the 360 game, "Lost Odyssey", and i must give it a 9.5 because of everything it represents, the characters are amazing, the story priceless, the graphics are sweet, the fight system is enough said, and the bad guy is so crazy it makes it stand out with a Vengeance. Overall the quality and everything else fits it perfect, not to mention with 4 discs come a new game plus after you beat it once, not to mention the side quests............. not to mention the items, the magic, the weapons, the enemies, the locations, its awesome, get it. (Currently on disc 4)
