WWE presents - No Way Out 2008:
Official Card:WWE Championship: Randy Orton (c) vs. John Cena The Elimination Chamber: Winner Gets Opportunity at WWE Champion at WrestleManiaHBK vs. HHH vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Y2J vs. JBL vs. Umaga Career Threating Match:Ric Flair vs. Mr. Kennedy..............................Kennedy --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So Cena uses his WWE Title shot here rather than Wrestlemania? Now WWE has lost it, Orton vs. Cena at the big one would of been good. Both their youngest main eventers, main eventing the biggest show of the year. Then again, this isn't WM unless HHH or HBK are involved somehow. And how is that somehow? The Elimination Chamber. That's right, HHH will win here and headline yet another Wrestlemania, proving that the line "HHH doesn't like losing" from the this weeks Raw results is true. So much for the opposite brand getting the EC match, not only does Raw get the RR winner but they also get the bigger match to decide who gets a title shot at WM. Smackdown keeps getting screwed and it's the brand I prefer to watch too. So right now, I'm calling yet another HHH vs. John Cena Wrestlemania Main Event. Damn, WWE. Why can't they just get the point by now? We want something different than HHH and HBK in main events and constantly doing "DX reunions" months apart. Sorry for my rant but after talking to Woo and Reso alot on MSN, I'm quite pissed at WWE.

Yeah it's bollocks to be frank. The rumbles a freaking joke. Why the hell would any body want to main event NWO? Since when has winning the rumble allowed anybody to chose when they wanted to get the title match? It's the royal rumble, no money in the bank.
If they wanted HHH to main event have him win the rumble and make Cena win the chamber, a stupid, stupid decision. They might be planning to make it a triple threat match between Orton/Cena/HHH but that is still not good enough. Cena vs Orton is the main event they needed to give the company a shot in the arm. It would have been the biggest WM main event since Austin vs Rock.
The only way they win make this right is by having Jeff win the chamber but they have already buried him in the rumble match. They have dropped the ball BIG time.
Also why have Y2J and JBL in the match and not have KK? Very dumb booking all around.

Okay... So Jamie Noble turns face and then comes out with two heels, yeah makes sense.
Two Elimination Chamber matches in one night? Isn't that over doing it a tad? Seems a bit shitty to me, also Smackdown should of put better people in than Khali and Big Daddy V, neither of the two have been near the World Title in ages.

That Noble thing is odd. I can only think that is a typo and should read "matt striker".
Yeah two EC's in one night is so dumb. I can't help thinking that it is a last minute change. Steala reckoned Orton might have screwed up again so they are changing plans by having Cena win the belt at NWO and it could be. But why not have HHH win the belt at NWO?
Also in the first EC match (SD's no doubt) you know none of the glass pannells with be broken.
The bookers have royally screwed up the road to Mania, but it could be a fun PPV as the EC's are always fun and the title matches should be good too.

Well Rey vs Edge for the world title, CM Punk vs Chavo for the ECW title has been added too and I think Carlito and Santino vs Hardcore Holly and Generic CAW Wrestler for the tag team titles will be at NWO too.
If you ignore all the stupid booking decisions and little thought that went into planning this PPV and look at it as a one of card it looks good. The 3 world title matches should be fun the Raw EC match quite good and the other 3 matches as average then it doesn't seem too bad. Beats TNA'a AAO in my opinion. Still though Orton vs Cena at Mania would have been great.

Is this on Sky Sports? Or am I expected to shell out more? I'll watch it if it's free, but otherwise, Vince can sack some other mug to make up for the fifteen quid he didn't extort out of this mug.

Boy am I glad I paid the $14 to see that rather than $40 they wanted on PPV.
It was a really good experience watching it at the cineplex, nothing like it before that's for sure. As for the show itself, bit boring. It quickly turned into one of most predictable shows WWE has done in a long time. They even put the the WWE Championship match on before the Raw Elimintation chamber just so HHH could have his extra 2000 minutes of fame.
Imo the only good bit of the show was when Big Show returned only to get busted open by Floyd Mayweather. Pretty Boy hit some awesome shots on Show which makes me think they could be going for a boxing bout between the too as Show left the arena with Shane McMahon saying "It's my ring." If you can find it on Daily Motion today, watch it.

After reading your comments Knox I went onto youtube and found his return: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLRvjqUe8s0I have to agree with you, that was a great angle. Perfect actually. I HATE seeing non wrestlers get involved in wrestling especially in TNA as they always get people I have never heard of before (Bar Montoya, he rules...even if his chair shots suck) but this was very good. First Show returns at No Way Out (which made perfect sense as he made his WWF debut at the February PPV in 99) and he came out bald, which is also cool, and looked in much better shape too. Plus the crowd gave him a great reception, even when he was attacking Rey Rey. Rey seems to be the new face that everyone hates. The confrontation between Show and Mayweather was next and the crowd went crazy when Show shoved him away and then seeing Prettyboy apparently break his nose before running away didn't feel fake like the usual celebrity interference. Plus Shane McMahon was then on hand to calm the big man down, which was good as it reminded me of the history between those two, plus Show looked as bad-ass as it gets with blood tricking down his face. What made that even better was that the commentators weren't afraid to shut up and let the actions speak for itself. Sometimes less really is more- TNA take note. I'm glad I didn't order the PPV. I would be been annoyed at the cop-out finish in the Cena match and would have been very angry at HHH undeservedly winning the Chamber match. Bloody HHH, I hate that guy.

It was a pretty lame show in most respects. I agree Big Show's return was the highlight. The rest of the matches were crap really. I marked slightly for Orton at the end though. John's face was a picture of disappointment.
I actually fell asleep and missed the main event, only waking up as I heard Triple H's music when he won. Triple H is easy to hate, as he is such a hog for the limelight. But I don't really begrudge him anything. I like the guy when he's serious, and loathe him when he's acting the goat. He does hog the show though, so I can see why so many people hate him.
I'd rather see him in main events than Cena though. I just can't stand him in his current persona. He irritates me a lot. I do however commend WWE for the way they brought him back at the Rumble. That's one of the things I missed most about wrestling, the surprises. They could quite easily have advertised Cena was gonna be on the show, and probably easily shifted another few hundred buys. But some bright spark in creative actually grew a set, and I like the result. I also marked heavily when Rhino returned last week, and then Big Show this week.
Maybe a new era is upon us. Dear god I hope so.
