www.wrestling-online.com/news/News_9/WWE_PPV_s_to_air_in_HD_in_Canadian_Cineplex_theaters.shtmlWrestling Online reports that starting with tomorrow's Royal Rumble, CINEPLEX will be showing live WWE's pay per views in High Def in fifty of it's cinemas across Canada. What a great move! I reckon this will be a massive money spinner, and I for one would definitely consider doing this if I lived on the other side of the pond. Why has nobody thought of this before? Or maybe they have and I just didn't hear. But what a great way to bring the big event experience to Joe Public who are not able to attend the actual show. I can just imagine sitting in a packed cinema, with a pint of beer in one hand, hot dog in the other, and a bucket of popcorn on the floor at my feet, jumping and whooping at the action along with another couple of hundred wrestling fans. That's gotta beat sitting home alone at 1am like a right Billy-No-Mates and shelling out fifteen quid, only to fall asleep half an hour into it and wake up just as the main event draws to a close. They should try it over here in the UK. Maybe it'll take off, maybe it won't, but I'd like to see what it's like. And in High Definition too. That's gotta be better than squinting from the nosebleeds at the Anaheim Pond, or some other generic WWE haunt.

Cineplex has been showing WWE ppv's in Canada for a few years now - the only new thing is the switch to HD, which should make it very cool - if only I lived somewhere where they actually had a Cineplex.....

I think we have a cineplex somewhere here, although I won't ventrue out today. I'll do some research and then go hunting for No Way Out.
