CM Punk Commentary

Okay so I just finished watching the KOTR 3 Hour Raw and once again thought it was a brilliant show. The tournament itself was great, I loved Cena taking out the NXT guys one by one and the main event with Miz and Lawler in the TLC match was well booked with Cole officially turning heel during it.

However the real star is CM Punk on commentary. Yes he did fuck up and say "Sheamus is here to fight Morrison in the final" before Sheamus had even won his first match, but he was so funny I'll let it slide. Here are some of his best quips...

-As Alex Riley (fresh off his DUI charge agrees to face Jackson)- "Is he under the influence?"

-This week when Riley came out in a suit- "He looks like he is dressed for court."

-"King Kofi Kingston has a nice right to it.... The initials though are not so nice."

-"I won my king of the ring in a 1992 tournament in Rio De Janeiro (awesome), which I think is where Pat Patterson 'won' the IC championship. Cody Rhodes has something in common with Patterson, but I'll let you work that out."

-Cole: "Cody had a facial before this match." Punk: "I'm sure he did..."

There were many more I missed I'm sure! Also he was wearing a Colt Cabana shirt during the show!!

As I mentioned in another post, I loved last week at Punk's cutting of Eve Torres: "Isn't Eve Torres supposed to be a professional dancer? She looks like she's having epileptic fits."

Also, I can't stand R-Truth and his what's-up gimmick, so I appreciated this comment by Punk: "Maybe if R-Truth spent a little less time on music and dancing he'd be a better wrestler."

Joining in on the "Cena Sucks" chant was great.

His commentary during the Alex Riley - Ezekiel Jackson match was great too. Punning on the A-Ri of Cole (like a rye of bread? like how things "go Awry for you") and telling him to "oh stay down kid" was great.

I was falling asleep through last night's Raw so didn't pick up on too many good quotes besides the ones Woo's already mentioned. I did like his ragging on Bryan Daniel's suicide dive and how he always hurts his shoulder every week.

I picked up on the Cody facial innuendo, and the Patterson one as well.
How I lolled.

Punk must write his own material, cos I'm sure nobody on the booking team would have to stones to write much of what he says.

He is grreat.

Apprently the WWE love his ad-libbed lines, not sure they would have liked him giving away the final of the tournament as early as he did mind...

Also last week he asked Lawler how he won his crowd and Lawler said he was born a king. This week Cole asked Jerry the same question and Punk replied "He said he was born a king last week, do your homework!" How I laughed.

Also when Jerry was wishing Orton a speedy recovery I loved how Punk was shaking his head and mouthing "Not me!" hahaha.
