Alexandra Burke's awful cover of Hallelujah was the best selling single of the year, but it doesn't make my top 10, or indeed my worst No.1's of the year.
10. Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake- 4 Minutes
HATED this at first, now I think it's not nearly as bad as I first thought.
9. Basshunter- Now You're Gone
8. Dizzee Rascal- Dance Wiv U
It shoudn't have worked, but the Calvin Harris/Dizzee colaboration was a huge hit.
7. Duffy- Mercy
Duffy, remember her?
6. Estelle feat. Kanye West- American Boy
I used to really like this, but grew REALLY sick of it by the years end. Still it's a Kayne West song that doesn't want to make me rip my ears of, so that's something I guess, though credit should go to Estelle for that.
5. Coldplay- Viva La Vida
I'm not a Coldplay fan, nor do I like this song much either actually, but some loved it.
4. Ne-Yo- Closer
A great clubbing song.
3. Katy Perry- I Kissed A Girl
Whatever you think of Katy Perry there is no doubting just how big this song was in 2008.
2. The Ting Ting's- That's Not My Name
I am sure most people here hate this band, I don't however and really like this song.
1. Kings of Leon- Sex On Fire
This song will always be known to me as the first song I heard this decade. Sadly we got thrown out of the club we were in 4 minutes past midnight...
And now for the worst No.1 of the year and it's Pink's 'So What?' imo. Soooooo annoying!
