Okay I am sure nobody will reply to this, but I was looking at the list of No.1 singles for various years and decided to make a top 10 list for every year. I will only be looking at the UK No.1's. Sadly many of the best songs and greatest ever bands failed to top the charts while Bob the Builder did, but here goes...
10. Alexandra Burke- Bad Boys
I'm not a fan of Alexandra Burke, Diana Vickers should have won!, but there is no denying that this is catchy.
9. La Roux- Bullet Proof
In For The Kill didn't get No.1 so you'll have to make do with this one instead.
8. Lady Gaga- Bad Romance
2009 was the year of Gaga. This was her 3rd No.1 of the year.
7. Dizzee Rascal- Bonkers
"Some people think I'm Bonkers, but I just think I'm free!" I have good memories of singing this song to Dizzee when he sat a few rows ahead of me during Smackdown last year.
6. Lily Allen- The Fear
Lily says she's not going to be making any more albums, which if true is a big shame as I think she's one of the best song writers around.
5. Lady Gaga- Pokerface
The biggest selling single of the year.
4. Cheryl Tweedy- Fight For This Love
I thought this songw as terrible at first, it really did grow on me towards the end of the year. A good clubbing song.
3. Lady Gaga- Just Dance
Pokerface was the biggest selling single of the year, but it's her first No.1 which I thnk is the better one.
2. Black Eyed Peas- I Gotta Feeling
I HATE this band, but LOVE this song. Perhaps it's just because this reminds me of good nights out clubbing, I dunno. But it's great.
1. Rage Against The Machine- Killing In The Name
Well there was only one winner here. Such fantastic moment and a great Christmas treat to those fed up with X Factor.
And now for the worst No.1 of the year and it's our good friends the Black Eyed Peas again with Boom Boom Pow...
