Didn't read the arrested development article, but saying that my interest in a new series or the long rumored movie is moderate is probably to overstate it. Season 3 was such a waining mess mired in so many in jokes that new viewers were an impossibility. Furthermore, it had mostly done what it could do. It's a show I still love but it blew it's load far too quickly. I may retract this when it happens and I will watch it. However I won't go out of my way to do so.
Liked the email too! Seems to be working! Posts are up nearly infinity percent.
Glad you're on s4 mb. BB Cyber with us for s5.

You're right about the in-jokes in the final season. Season 3 was made for the fans of the show. I think it was great that way though, seeing as they had already told they'd been canceled. It's not like they needed new viewers at that point.
Another show I love, Community is kind of having the same problem right now. It's incredibly funny but there's a shit ton of in-jokes and it's probably not helping it gain any new fans.
From what I gathered from the article, the new show will almost be an entirely different show, with each episode focusing on one character and then the movie reuniting them. That to me separates it from the original show, so it won't tarnish it if it sucks and it'll be gravy if it's anywhere near as funny.
The email definitely didn't work. The only person that checked in was AVO and he didn't even post. It got MB riled up though, so there is that.

Kevin Borg - aka Somar - also checked in and did not post. That's a 66.6% increase in member activity. So I'd call the email a result. We should take it in turns to spam all our members until one returns. Then get them to join us in spamming the rest. And so on.

Go for it. I just sent it out to amuse myself. Didn't really expect many to run back and start posting again.
I'm glad it showed up as coming from Powerslam this time instead of my email address. I can masquerade as Knoxville more easily that way.

Masquerade as me as much as you like.
Interestingly I today received a voucher for £50 worth of free Google ad words. I sure as hell don't need it. I might spend it advertising this place.

God I so marked when Walt menacingly said "I'm the one who knocks!". I almost painted the back door with excitement. Or is that excrement? Yes! Almost up to date. I've been secretly catching up with it behind your backs. I feel kinda dirty, and treacherous, but liberated at the same time. Gus just remembered the time his hermano was whacked by the pool. And look who was the kingpin - Manolo! Jesse was also awesome in this episode. Five more shows to go...

Advertising? Never heard of it. God I so marked when Walt menacingly said "I'm the one who knocks!". I almost painted the back door with excitement. Or is that excrement? Such a great line! And delivered perfectly. That's one of my favorite scenes of the series.

Wow! Lily Of The Valley... So season five is gonna be Walt vs Jesse. Such a great way to end the best season so far. A few loose ends though, which I hope will be explained next season: a) How did Walt get to Brock? b) What will happen to Mike? c) Is Ted dead? d) How did Gus know the car was rigged? e) What happened to the lucky cigarette? f) Why did Steaka throw me a red herring in The Tenth Anniversary Invitational email? Really excellent season, perfectly paced and written, with characters you rarely see of this depth on TV. The sight of Walt writhing around in the crawlspace whilst laughing hysterically is enough to win awards alone.
Top 5 non-Walt or Jesse characters from season 5: 5) Skylar - Took me some time to appreciate how many layers she adds to the story. She showed her true colours and exposed herself as a criminal mastermind in the end. She emerges as the sensible side to Walt's bullheaded approach to the situation. 4) Mike - Stone cold and lazy eyed, the most casual hitman in history really came good in the end. 3) Saul - Held the threads of the story together with the most shysterous precision. Had the lion's share of all the best lines too. 2) Gus - Spent the whole season developing into one the screen's great villains. By the end, I actually wanted him to survive. Such a methodical masterclass of a performance. 1) Hank - Apart from a first half performance worthy of an Oscar if this were a motion picture, the second half of the season showed us that Hank's wasted in the DEA, and should instead be in the FBI. Hank's relentless pursuit of the truth gave the show much of it's tension.

The easiest answer is through Saul. b) I'm sure he'll be a big part of season 5, which is why the writers took him out of harm's way (...relatively) for the end of season 4. c) I hope so. That side story was easily the worst part of the season. d) I'm guessing Walt took it out of the carton to plant it in Jesse's head that Gus knew about it, and to convince Jesse to assist in the assassination of Gus. That plan (bomb in the parking lot) ended up not working anyway. f) It was pretty funny.

Royal Rumble Betting is LIVE! Please see the relevant thread. Flagged for being off-topic. This may be true, but it was worth not mentioning Breaking Bad to walk away with 2.2 million extra bucks thanks to my prediction coming true.

Don't spend it all in one place.
