How can Heath Slater ever hope to become a superstar in the WWE Universe when he looks so... ... alien? By the way, his mentor is Captain Charisma. I wonder what Christian Slater thinks of this gimmick infringement. Did anyone see the show that's replaced ECW?The Miz looked every bit the superstar as he ran down his rookie Danielson Bryan, here making his WWE debut. I love how out of all the other pairings, only these two are feuding from the off. WTF is with David Otunga's finisher? Speaking of Danielson Bryan, What about his debut match? One on one against the World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho! Fastest. Push. Ever? It was a pretty good show and quite entertaining in places. Gotta say though, The Miz is red hot at the moment. All I am really thinking about though, is the possibility of another Danielson/Punk match.

I enjoyed it. I like the fact Danileson got that match. It's like they adknowledged that he was more than good enough to be in the ring with jericho. I think he'll be the break out star from NXT if anyone. I enjoyed the match and how they are also using it as another tool to put Miz over. I certainly agree when you say he's on fire.
I also like what they are doing with the CM Punk side of things. He wants his Rookie to embrace straight edge into his life. Clever that.
Also could Hardy's pro look any more, well... gay?

......so nobody has insulted the Miz yet? Could it be that people realize that he is the Miz and he IS AWESOME now?
I am yet to see this, but I thought the segment on Elimination Chamber was one of the best promos I can recall in months.
Basically The Miz said that while Bryan may be an Internet darling and king of the indies all he sees is a guy who looks like he'd go to a Star Wars convention and that unlike Daniel Bryan, he has personality.
Then MVP turns up and says that while personality is important, getting victories is more so and that after their match The Miz could tell Danielson that he lost to MVP..... but did it with a winning personality!
^ Now that was awesome. Factor in the fact that the Miz's catchphrase is currently over the Rock's and Road Dogg's were and how Lawler stated that some people would already consider that Daniels is better than the Miz and I am very interested to see how they play this out.
As for fastest push ever, that would have to go to K-Fed!! Or failing that, Desmond Wolfe?

The Miz is a douche. And his catchphrase is terrible and uncreative. There it is, Woo. I didn't see the show so I have nothing else to add.

I saw this show through to the end, and found it mostly very enjoyable to be honest. Matt Striker is an excellent host, and the rookies showed a lot of good things, and a few bad things. I think the best man won in the end. As I definitely think Wade Barrett stood head and shoulders above the other seven guys, more than literally. As shocked as I was to see Bryan Danielson booted off the show, I believe he still has a future in WWE, as he is easily one of the top three technically sound wrestlers in the world today. Next season, due to kick off next week, promises even more with the announcement of the rookies in this season's finale. The new season sees two third generation superstars in the son of Mr. Perfect himself, Curt Hennig, and also the son of Mike Rotundo aka IRS. Also appearing is a guy who is taller than The Great Khali, but most interestingly, the new season will star a wrestler who I have wondered about his whereabouts for a few months now - KAVAL - or the wrestler formerly known as Senshi, and Low Ki before that. It is great that the likes of him and Danielson are getting exposure like this, regardless of how they are booked initially. Danielson, whilst not showing anywhere near his true potential right now, is still looking good in his work with The Miz. I feel his time will come to shine, and let his wrestling do the talking instead of his mouth, as his limited mic abilities are laid out for all the world to see at the moment. In NXT, I believe WWE are at least pointing in the right direction for a change.

OK, so I while I might be the only person on here who is still slightly interested in wrestling, I have to say that NXT has proven to be a winning formula, and has provided some of the most compelling of WWE's programming this year. The show has spawned arguably the biggest angle of the year with The Nexus, and the several feuds which have developed as a result, most interestingly, the return of The American Dragon. But the New season has also had many highlights, not least of which is the elevation of Low Ki finally into the mainstream spotlight. He has wowed us with, if not quite vintage performances, some of what we found so great about the guy in ROH and TNA. Also, The Miz's rookie Alex Riley has been amazing on the mic and really took things up a gear this season, playing up to the heelish nature of his character like a seasoned veteran. I've loved NXT, and look forward to it each week. I hope it does continue well after this week's season finale. Good on whomever's brainchild this was.

WOW, in true style as only WWE can manage, they have laid a big stinking dog-egg right in the middle of my dinner plate. Which I WAS enjoying immensely by the way. Just as I was praising the company for the greatness that is NXT, they make the huge announcement that next season, starting next week, will be... wait for it... ... DIVAS! For fuck's sake. As if they don't have enough fucking pointless oxygen wasting skanks already, they go and devote an entire series of the show that dragged the company back from the brink of mediocrity, to finding yet another trashy ho to hog the screen. Fucking STUPID! STUPID!!
