Well this is I think one of the best angles the WWE has ever done from back in 1991. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZkUu9qTrOA&feature=relatedSavage & Jake rule. Well this isn't a clip of his injury but it is a promo that also went wrong. I have this one video somewhere, but can't remember what IYH PPV it was. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQXDh0Co1XsI love the bit where he says "can do we this again?" "we're live pal!" A short clip of Mene Gene swearing when the wall behind him falls over. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VV0Dcj1zPIThis video is short promos from some of the wrestlers from the 1990 Rumble. Pretty funny. www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0u7MnowokgIt was a Warrior promo so that's always good for a laugh, but Dusty Rhodes is the real highlight. I think he does the most gayest promo ever. Martel rules too, he's the only only one that talks sence, although it's a shame that Jannetty's "rock 'n' roll, strut 'n' stroll'" didn't become a big catchphrase. Oh and Snuka looks like he is melting or something.

I'll watch them at some point this evening, but from the descriptions they look pretty amusing.

Well the first one is pretty brutal for wrestling in 91. It's the whole snake bite thing. The cobra actually died after it too and Savage later joked that the snake received venom from him.

Yeah I remember that was a pretty shocking angle for it's time. It was round about the same time when Roberts smacked Elizabeth. Also rather shocking. I notice TNA have resurrected the angle with Booker T, Sharmell and Robert Roode. And it's being used to good effect I think. Roode is so over as a heel at the moment, he is great to watch.
That period - circa 1991 - was possibly my favourite period apart from 97-99. The characters and feuds were pretty awesome, and WCW was also a treat to watch around that time, as many of the WWF's big names jumped ship, and vice versa. Flair's arrival with Heenan was a tremendous time for me.

I think the Roode angle is good, I just wish Tracy wasn't involved in it. Bobby clearly hit Sharmell by accident, but like a great heel doesn't care. The WWE also did with Y2J where he swings a chair at Test and KO's Stacy.
I don't think the pay-off match between Roode & Booker can end the feud the way it should though. Also TNA will make the feud last most of 08.
I think TNA have started the new year well actually. The WWE too, let's hope they keep it up.
Another great feud I loved from 91 was Savage vs Warrior ending in their classic retirement match at Mania VII. The Savage/Liz reunited bit at the end actually made people cry lol. When was the last time a WWE storyline made someone cry like that?

Yeah I remember the crowd shots of girls literally bawling their eyes out. I found it hilarious! And WWF did it with a straight face too.
Back then Jake was probably THE best heel in the business. That Survivor Series team he had - The Visionaries - was awesome. And they all survived if I am not mistaken. Even my boy The Warlord. Then there was the final match where all the survivors divided up into heels and faces, with Tito, Warrior and Hogan taking on all the heels. That was kayfabe at it's best/worst.

I hope you chastised him incessantly about his failure to kick out of a simple flying fist by an anorexic glorified job-boy, and for him to pay more attention next time, in your 2,789th fan letter to the man.
