Damn I couldn't believe it when the 2nd US goal went in. I thought for sure that the US would then go on to win. I was cheering on the host nation and was very happy they won.

Yeah me too. Someone on BBC said the other day that Canada would trade in all the other medals they had won just to win gold in the Ice Hockey. How much more disrespectful to all the other athletes can you get?

Fair point.
Though I would trade in every gold medal GB have ever won for the world cup.

I don't understand how the US were considered slight favorites. The us has a bunch of young guy's taking on a stacked NHL all star team AND they were home...
Man I wanted US to win sooo bad here…. Would’ve been nice to take the gold from them at their own place; a little payback from 02.

How much more disrespectful to all the other athletes can you get? That had to be said by an idiot sports pundit. God i hate pundits, whether they be sport or political or entertainment or whatever, they're just a bunch of idiots spewing diarrhea from their mouths. Anyone can be a pundit and say stupid crap.

Yeah it was a pundit, and he did have verbal diarrhoea, which made me think BBC have lowered their standards somewhat in the past few years. They are making their budget cuts in all the wrong places.

I don't understand how the US were considered slight favorites. ...By whom? Anyway, that was a classic game. It was the best of the Olympics. Miller stood on his head the entire tournament. Assuming he doesn't have a drastic fall-off in the last quarter of the NHL season, he will win the Vezina Trophy.
