So it finally happened... The Nature Boy has once again come face to face with the only other man to occupy such a lofty legend status as Slic Ric's.
Yes Flair stood right in front of Hulk Hogan and berated him with the Best Flair Rant Ever, right after he berated Abyss with the previous Best Flair Rant Ever.
The opening segment of this week's Impact was amongst the best opening 15 minutes of any wrestling programming I've seen in over ten years. And not one punch was thrown.
Flair was as close to his best as I've seen him. And AJ was not that far behind to be honest. He was very confident. It was almost as though he was auditioning for Flair, and passed with flying colours as far as I'm concerned.
But this only serves as the catalyst for bringing these two wrestling icons together for one final time.
Let's face it, Ric Flair the wrestler is now a very fond memory of the past. He cannot hope to be convincing running the ropes in 2010, and neither can Hogan.
But Ric Flair The Man, on the other hand, could possibly be entering his most impressive period of his career as far as being The Man goes.
If this feud is done badly it will stink up the whole business, as they are already planting the seeds of dragging the WWE through the mud with the Hall Of Fame ring. But, there was a lot of honesty in what Flair said, and suprisingly little posturing, regardless of how many blood vessels he busted during his tirade.
Hogan was brilliant too, and really looked cool out there looking down at Flair's vibrating red face.
So the feud has started off on the right foot, and has all the ingredients to be a brilliant feud, without the need for either man to lace up his boots.
TNA seem to be doing a lot right these days. If only they would recognise the things they are doing wrong, maybe then Vince might prick up his ears and think "What's that I hear creeping up from Way Down South?".
