For me it's NWA! Just because of Express Yourself. Tuuuune.

Yeah I would say NWA also. I preferred their hardcore style. Although Public Enemy's collaboration with Anthrax in Bring The Noise is a thing of beauty.
But the first record I ever bought with my own money was Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five's album which contained the classic White Lines. One of the first rap records and an anti drugs song as well.
