The following statement was issued in the ECW section of WWE.com:
"As first reported by WWE Mobile Alerts, WWE has come to terms on the release of ECW Superstar Marcus Cor Von as of September 19. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors." --------------
Jeez, what a waste this was. Monty Brown (as he will always be known to me) could have been a huge star in the WWE had they let him and they clearly couldn't be arsed to push the guy, stupid useless WWE writers. Let this be a lesson to other TNA wrestlers.
Hopefully TNA will have him back and he can go back to his upper midcard slot.

I dunno what WWE are doing atm, Monty had been dealing with th death of his mother and had informed WWE that he needed some time off. PWI reported that Johnny Ace told him he had two weeks to get over it and then get back to work. What a knob.

Christ, it seems everyone on the roster has had a run-in with Johnny Ace at some time or another. The guy must go out of his way to make enemies of people.
I never really understood the logic of A: changing Monty Brown's name to the very dorkishly sounding Marcus Cor Von, and B: not continuing with the momentum Brown had right up until the point where he left TNA. Instead they chose the tried and tested (with very bad results) method of burying almost every entity not created by one of Vince McMahon's magic wand-wielding elves*
* for further reference, read the resumes of Bill Goldberg, Peter "Taz(z)" Senerca, and Rob Van Dam, and see if you can pinpoint the exact point where their careers went into freefall.
By my reckoning, you can count on one hand the amount of non-Vince creations who have had a WWE career which afforded them any kind of respect...
... Ric Flair, Chris Jericho, Booker T... and... now I'm stumped.
I never really marked for Monty Brown in TNA but I think he deserved a whole lot better than what he got in the end. I just hope he got a decent payday out of Vince. And John Laurinaitis should be ashamed of himself.

Well, why doesn't this surprise me? Another talent gone from WWE that no one even bothered to practically give a chance.
If that's true he had only 2 weeks to get over his mother's death than Johnny Ace is an asshole to me.
Ah well, typical WWE. They don't give guys they hire a chance if they don't fit right and try to work something out with them. They simply give them the boot.

Frickin' a. You're telling me I watched the last half hour of ECW the other week for the sole purpose of seeing Marcus Cor Von, and he's not even on the roster?
This almost sucks as much as reading that Austin Aries ("Starr") was released like three months after the fact (except it actually sucks more when you consider ECW literally gives you headaches if you watch it).

Yeah I thought THE Austin Starr was still on suspension and then found out much much later that he had left. Well I can't blame him, being given two pointless suspensions would piss anyone off.
