I'm dreading this. Not because the program has developed into a white knuckle trip through Frightville, but because it means my life is soon to be dominated by not only Lost, but Heroes, 24 and the soon-to-be-returning-after-mid--season-breaks Fringe and Stargate Universe. The first three of which lost their flavour long long ago. But as I am a completist I am dreading sitting through weeks and weeks of melodrama just for the sake of completism. Having said that, I was advised to switch off ten minutes before the end of M. Night Shyamalan's travesty which was The Happening, and make up my own ending. Which is what I did. My ending was great and now I can't wait for the sequel. Roll on Summer when there's nothing on TV but reality shows.

I'm looking forward to it, but I do fear that some of the questions won't be answered in a satisfying way. There's been a few bumps along the way in previous seasons that make me tend to believe that the writers have never had a solid plan for the way they want things to turn out (i.e. Libby's backstory never being explained).
Here's to hoping Aldo returns in the final season.

I am so excited, but very nervous. There is no way to end this in a satisfying way I don't think. If they are die then that sucks and if they go back in time to stop the plane even crashing on the island then we've wasted six years of our lives. Maybe they can all live happily on the island and party with Ewoks. I'd be cool with that. There are some mysteries to be answered, some which we've kind of figured out for ourselves- the smoke monster-, some which will be answered this year- Libby's past and Claire's status- and some which I fear will never be resolved- The Numbers, The Dharma's true goals and biggest of all- Joop The Ageless Orangutan. Reservations aside this is going to be amazing! Just look at this promotional image and tell me you don't mark out a little? Faraday, Boone, Miles, Michael, Ana Lucia, Charlotte, Frank, Shannon, Desmond, Eko, Kate, Jack, Sawyer, Locke, Ben, Sayid, Libby, Sun, Jin, Claire, Hurley, Juliet, Charlie, Richard, Bernard, Rose and Vincent! Awesome. Also there is this one which included Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalt, Danielle, Alex and............. Nikki and Paolo...... yay.

I don't mark out to Locke butt. Barring that, however, it is very cool to see everyone again and the choice of putting Claire directly beside Hurley is quite comical.

Okay, that was one hell of a confusing episode, but we did get some answers. We found out that the Man in Black (does he have a name?) IS the smoke monster. That is badass. I always just thought it was part of the security system for some reason.
The whole alternate reality thing is really confusing, although it's cool to see what would've happened had they not crashed. I have no idea where they're going with this.
It also was suspected that Johnny Cash was wearing Locke's body but not really confirmed until now. Is it just me or is John Locke the most tragic character in television history? My goodness.

Right, so I thought the first two episodes were pretty good. My problem is that i want all the answers NOW!!! However, i keep forgetting that there is 18 episodes left and not 1. When i saw the plane scene with Rose and Jack I pretty much knew that they were not going to crash. None the less, still a pretty cool scene. Seeing the island under watch while confusing the hell out of me, looked pretty badass. Speaking of bad ass. Flocke turning into the smoke monster and killing everyone was crazy.
One final note, when Flocke went to Richard and said "it's good to see you without those chains." I would've been like "Well, it's good to see you as an actually solid form."

I'd also like to point out that it's extremely annoying that they put all the names of the actors in the show at the beginning of every episode...even the surprise ones. And they're impossible not to see. Lost is the worst at this.

Yeah I found that with 24. Imagine how much more I would have marked had I just seen Jurgen Prochnow onscreen instead of seeing his fucking name on the opening credits. It worked for Se7en with Kevin Spacey so why don't they leave the fucking surprise for when you actually watch the show? It's not like it's gonna suddenly drag in viewers who would not normally watch. Jurgen is one of my favourite actors and will make an excellent villain. I would have preferred more of a surprise though. The producers should use our spoiler tags on the opening credits. Grr!

Quote from myself in May!
CALLED IT!!
Good episodes. The off-action stuff was very strange....the only way I can see this ending is if they all end up on a plane again at some point and then do crash....
The island adventures were awesome though and we got several answers;
-The identity of the Locke-a-like
-The answer to whether the white flash was the bomb going off or another jump in time
-An explanation to the use of the black ash around Jacob's coffin
-Cindy and the children's whereabouts
-The return of "Jacob's lists" too.
Plus I think two of the bigger mysteries were just explained.
1) The whispers from the jungle have to be the others for sure now
2) Richard Albert...... of course we don't know why he never aged, but the "It's good to see you without chains" perhaps gives us a huge clue as to where he came from. He has to be from The Black Rock ship. It held prisoner's in who were all chained up and I'm bet that Albert was one of them, perhaps the only survivor.
Lastly Miles and Jin are awesome. I loved Jin calmey saying "Ah yeah, the monster ripped his arm off" about that dead guy and Miles reading Sayid's mind was cool. Hmmm, what did he hear? And Juliet said it worked? So why are they still stuck on the island then? Are they all dead and the island just wants them there to protect it from Smokey before they can go like it did with Michael?
Quote of the episodes:
Jacob: I died two hours ago Hurley: That sucks dude

Here's to hoping Aldo returns in the final season. Hey, they brought him back....Oh, shit, they killed him. I hate Claire now.
