Okay simple list this. I will say the 10 worst ways people have been eliminated from the Rumbles.
Near Misses- Randy Savage trying to pin Yokozuna in 1993 and getting eliminated by a kick-out.... and the Big Show/Rock situation from 2000 where Rock's feet supposedly hit the floor first, though I haven't seen it.
10- Shawn Michaels eliminated by Shane McMahon- 2006
So it's near the end of the Rumble and HBK is kicking arse having just got rid of MNM and Shelton when Vince McMahon comes out with his music. For what seems like ages Vince stands on the top of the ramp while Shawn stupidly stands still in the ring only to be eliminated by Shane McMahon from behind.
So this is where it gets stupid. HBK chases Shane up the ramp, but the Boy O Wonder escapes.... but Vince doesn't. However rather than beat the shit out of Vince, McMahon somehow convinces HBK that it was all Shane's doing.... and Shawn buys it!?!!
WTF? Vince spent all night asking people to throw Shawn out! "Oh no, it was all Shane! I was just standing here to get a closer look at the action Shawn, I wasn't trying to distract you....... despite playing my own theme tune during the match."
Also they even showed Shane on the tron about 20 seconds before the elimination..... and HBK was staring right at it! Also if Shane didn't throw him out then somebody else would have as Shawn was a fucking moron here.
9. The Miz- eliminated by Hornswoggle- 2008
After his amazing three second performance in 07 the Miz returned in 08 and was eliminated by Hornswoggle. Nuff said.
8. Ahmed Johnson- eliminated by himself- 1997
Ahmed wasn't the first to eliminate himself, nor the last, but clearly the worst one. Andre eliminated himself, but did so to avoid Damien the snake, Foley did it because he didn't give a shit about the match and just wanted to kick Orton's arse and Drew Carey did it, but to avoid Kane. Kane himself nearly made this list for eliminating himself in 1999 and chasing after some men in white coats....
But Ahmed's was the worst as he leaped over the top rope to chase after Faarooq who had shown up on the ramp to taunt him. That in itself isn't bad, but when you remember that Faarooq himself was in the match and that Ahmed would have had to meet him anyway.... yeah very silly. Then again Ahmed always was a bloody moron.
Note: Randy Savage did the exact same as Foley did with Orton but to Jake Roberts in 1992, but he was allowed to continue due to him not being thrown out by anybody else. Wtf?
7. Spike Dudley- Never entered match- 2004
So Spike walks out, gets chokeslammed by Kane on the ramp and that's all she wrote. Rather lame, but I guess a chokeslam on the steel ramp would hurt like heel, so that's why he's not any higher.
6. Chavo Guerrero- "eliminated" by HHH- 2006
So during the Eddie Guerrero tribute rumble Chavo climbs through the ropes onto the turnbuckle goes for the frogsplash and in the most classless act ever HHH shoves him to the floor. It was almost as if Chavo was the "unofficial Eddie tribute wrestler" and Rey had the official badge stamped on him. What was so bad though was that Chavo climbed through the ropes onto the turnbuckle. He never went over them.
5. Mil Mascaras- "eliminated" by himself- 1997
So the name thing happened to Mill 9 years earlier. I put Mill higher than Chavo as Mill wasn't even pushed off- he jumped off onto his two Mexican comrades. Again he never went over the top rope. He even tried to climb back into the ring, but the stupid refs stopped him.
4. Hornswoggle- Quitting- 2008
So Horny hid under the ring for most of the match, popped up once to eliminate Miz, but when he tried it for a second time he was stopped by Mark Henry and Big Vis. Finlay saved him from being killed.... but Horny then just quit anyway and walked to the back. Loser.
3. Scotty 2 Hotty- Pathetic injury- 2005
A bit like Hornswoggle's exit, but this is worse as Scotty is an actual wrestler and I expect better from him. In 2001 Scotty was pretty much raped by Taker and Kane. One year later during his dancing entrance Taker struck again and floored him with a punch which knocked him out for a good four minutes. But Scotty sucked it up.
Scotty would have to wait 3 more years for his chance to win this match. So having not learnt his lesson he danced his way to the ring once more and was attacked again- this time by Muhammed Hassan. Hassan locked in the camel clutch and.... that was it. After less than 15 seconds of the move Scotty was apparently stretchered to the back. What a fucking wuss.
2. Bastion Booger- No show- 1994
Off the top of my head I can think of three other people who no showed a rumble, but unlike Booger they had a valid reason. Test, on account of being KO'd by Foley. Savage, on account of him being chased out of the arena the Warrior. Skull, after being mistook for Austin by Savio Vega's goons (which was just a ploy to have non-entrant making everyone think it was Austin.
Booger's no show was to make us think Bret Hart wouldn't make it due to his injury, but low and behold Bret did. Booger just beats Scotty and Hornswoggle made the effort of coming out to the ring. Booger's reason was that he was feeling sick. Sick? Bret Hart had a fucking injury and he entered- and won! Plus it's Bastion Booger the unkempt disgusting slob, I wouldn't have thought feeling sick would have stopped him.
1. Finlay- Via DQ- 2008
It had to be! It makes a mockery of the whole thing! Austin has used a chair, Al Snow a bowling ball and Terry Funk a fucking chainsaw! But Finlay gets DQ'd for a shillelagh? Come ON!
Plus whatever happened to "The ONLY way to be eliminated is to be thrown over the top rope with both feet touching the floor." So, so, so stupid.
